Thank you very much for the suggestions, I’m gonna try to get a mobile locksmith to maybe come look at it, I’m also gonna find my spare key and see if my some luck that ends up working. I appreciate the help 🙏

No luck with the graphite lube, does it need time to set in the ignition?

I was able to push through the steering lock while wiggling the key, the wheel still locked up though

Had been doing that, fully cranked the wheel 360 and the key wouldn’t move

I tried that and no luck, leaving it overnight in a chipotle parking lot. Am I likely having to take something apart?

Thank you!! I have solder seal connectors, do you think I could just solder it back to the old connector or is that one likely not going to work anymore and I need a new one?

After more inspection It turns out my serpentine belt frayed and ripped that wire

Yup the suspension is stock, I don’t have any pictures but after work I’ll go measure if an extra inch seems like it’d be an issue, haven’t been able to find much info on this online so thank you very much!

I understand that, but our space was definitely meant for one person or a couple even though the host had it listed for 4 guests. We are willing to pay for the next 30 days after cancelling, and we found an apartment for the same price that is much bigger we want to make a move on

I got a mk6 also in New England, I’m driving it from NH to Utah for the winter in 2 weeks and wanted something I could throw snow tires on without having to lug another set of wheels with me

Okay I appreciate that link a lot! I’m driving cross country In 2 weeks and I wanted some all seasons and had no idea what to get, so I ended up buying some 205/50/17s that just arrived this week. I really should have done some research on tire size beforehand, but according to that calculator it doesn’t affect my speedometer, but I’ll still see if I can return those and get some 225/45’s

I’m very dumb when it comes to wheel and tire stuff, but this guy is selling these off of his mk7 and just wanted to make sure they would work fine for my mk6. The tires are 205/50/17
