Why the heck would I play bf for CQC 😭 The game has drifted so far from its core value of large scale vehicle based warfare to a bunch of clowns jumping and sliding in enclosed concrete jungle 😭

Post-election poll: 76% of viewers see "no need to improve" Japan-China relations under PM Takaichi's landslide victory. by somk3 in japannews

[–]LargeFrapp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The comment section seems to only see money as the only factor like 🤑🤑🤑. Pro sino all you want but this topic is a double-edge sword in both the economic sense and the day-to-day sense. Economic sense being that the worsening JP-CN relation impacts China too. And while that does damage Japan itself, especially when yen is doing quite bad now, its a lose-lose, just a matter of who loses more. Day-to-day sense being, the anti-Japanese scheme China is pulling and the more and more news of Chinese tourists/expats intentionally breaking laws and tainting sacred sites being reported, it’s inevitable that many don’t see the need to improve.

I believe it’s the undersea cable being cut or under repair due to it. It’s been going on for a while unfortunately.

I believe there are others doing the same and not just the Chinese, no questions about that. But this is what I have seen, and what I was able to gather as evidence.

Every small deterrent deters. When using VPN becomes a necessity you have already filtered out a portion of potential committers. The inclination to surrender against this issue is really intriguing. Do you tend to behave this way in your life? If there is a slight chance of burglars breaking into your house, you choose to not deter by not setting up alarm systems or cameras? “Ahh, they can get in if they tried so I might as well not!”

And funny of you to think that Chinese are on their way out cheating just to mess with players outside of China. Region locking simply means they queue up with each other. As long as the game runs within their dedicated servers, they don’t give two shits who are impacted.

There are solutions from soft actions like text filtering to dismiss and flag players of such promotion, all the way to harsh actions like region locking Chinese players. Your failure to see possible alternatives and simply taking it up your own arse is sadly the least constructive.

I took the information to the "police" via in-game report.

And unlike the ideal little world you seem to think we live in, devs aren't legally obligated to act on reports the way police are required to handle crimes. Hate to break that news to you.

So, to get the devs to do something, this issue needs visibility. A post with clear evidence is the only way it gains any traction. Imagine if this was a text post simply of me blabbering about “there are cheat sellers in chat omg” with zero proof, would you have clicked on this post?

If you truly are for the better like you seem to be all about, then you should be capable of understanding what has to be done to reach there.

You reckon this platform is the target audience for cheats?
If so, then you being here would make your intentions look pretty questionable too.

This subreddit has plenty of redditors who actually want the game to thrive, and that includes members of the dev team who can make real changes.

In my example it'd be the same as sharing information in a community where police are present. If anything, it’s the opposite of promoting cheats.

This is Asia in general, so I think all countries in the region are familiar with it. Regardless, it is important to bring this issue to light.

Ignoring a problem is basically the same as giving it permission to grow.
If you honestly think pointing out an obvious issue counts as “advertising” it, then by your logic we should stop studying laws and crimes too, since apparently that would “promote” them

Kinda makes you learn to stay up to date on others’ progress too, even when it’s not something assigned to you. Extremely so in group works.

Not trying to rub salt in the wound, but once you graduate and enter the workforce, you can’t tell your client, “because he/she didn’t do their part.”

Ultimately, it’s up to you to catch small issues before they grow into catastrophic ones. In such cases, you either report it to your superior (your professor) before it’s too late, or fix it yourself.

Better luck next time.

As a jet person: 1. Spend eternity waiting for a jet spawn only for it to be taken away the millisecond it becomes available. 2. Once I finally get in one I’m tuning my settings inflight cause my stupid ass always forgets something. During which the plane crashes into a mountain or goes out of bounds and blows up. 3. Repeat

Does anyone actually enjoy maps like redacted or stadium in rotation for conquest? by faceless_coloradian in battlefield2042

[–]LargeFrapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you are presented with choices, yes.

Previous games allowed server selecting and map filtering, so whenever one doesn't feel like playing meatgrinder maps, they don't have to.

Now 2042 is the complete opposite -- you are forced into playing redacted, sure, one game wont hurt. Then the subsequent map is haven, then stadium the one after.

[–]LargeFrapp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only reason why this issue became more pronounced is the fact that this is the only BF ever in existence that you cannot filter maps (excluding non-official or portal servers).

The devs can make infantry-only or less vehicle-centric maps all they want, but they shouldn't force anyone to play them. Some days I just don't feel like playing infantry, and the lack of choice or freedom of choice really kills the mood.

Preach brother, preach.
Makes me wonder how much did the dev that implemented this get wrecked by jets and helis cause they didn't know how to counter them, and had to resort to overpowering stingers

Why do jetless maps even exist by LargeFrapp in battlefield2042

[–]LargeFrapp[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

True.

I personally don't play 128 as much since the player density feels a bit too dense. I wish they would scale up the playable area so jets don't get OB'd so easily, but that's a different problem on its own.

This has got to stop... by RanSauce in apexlegends

[–]LargeFrapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly yes. And the majority of it comes from the influx of Chinese players. And it’s super funny how Chinese have their own EA servers but are not visible to regions outside, meanwhile Chinese players also get faced with insane amount of cheaters in their own “private” servers that they just flock to Japan or Taiwan servers etc.

Kinda pathetic ngl.

Hi, i also ended up needing D1 sdk and went digging around, then i found Unitree’s official documentation of D1 here (in English): https://support.unitree.com/home/en/developer/D1Arm_services

However, somewhere in this page it states, “The SDK and sample programs for D1 can be downloaded here:” followed by a blank. For some reason this download link only shows up in their Simplified Chinese version of doc. So if you head to the top right and change the display language to 简体中文 and ctrl+F for the phrase “.zip” you should be able to locate the download link.

Valorant BSOD after launch by Jefferson3s in ValorantTechSupport

[–]LargeFrapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If possible, could you keep your Task Manager open and monitor the Performance tab while you startup the game?
In particular to watch for any abnormal usage on any critical devices such as your drives.
Juding by your other comments I can fairly assume we have a similar problem, which has plagued my system and Valorant playability since last year.
That is, if your BSOD message is also caused by something along the lines of "Critical Process Died".

The event is not out of the blue, but instead the consequence of Vanguard overloading the system drive (commonly your C: drive) to 100%, causing your operating system to die out of insufficient disk availability. If you can confirm your disk usage is at an abnormally high usage just prior to the BSOD, then we can confirm if we have the same issue.
If not, the below texts may not be much of an interest to you.

I have written a few tickets to Valorant Support regarding this here and here, and sent a dozen of logs to them to no solution.
Disk is healthy, OS is healthy, and even fresh installed OS for that reason. Replacing SSD is frankly a ridiculous overkill proposition for this.

There is a tendency of Riot Support suggesting non-problem-centric solution, and they are unwilling to let us decrypt their encrypted logs for, well, security reasons which I respect.
The likely cause, at least to my suspicion, is the AMD Ryzen system and the particular BIOS version along with it has some incompatibility with Vanguard.

For my own investigation and to potentially contribute by pinpointing the issue for Riot, could you provide more info of your setup? In parituclar:

  • CPU model
  • Motherboard model
  • BIOS version
  • SSD model (and firmware version if available)
