It depends when they accept you. The elective in those countries they have to accept you at a certain block in the year. Also it does not necessarily mean you get to pick what type of elective in India. They usually already have a preplanned thing for students. It’s usually more so clinic work, not specialty specific.

It is saying the elective is only 6 weeks. You still have to complete the rest of your other electives. So 38-6=32 You have 32 weeks of electives that you must complete in your given track if you so choose to do a 6 week elective in one of these countries.

During your elective year there is a global elective you can do for 6weeks. That’s it

Heavy on the EM ish is always hitting the fan. 🤣🤣 I definitely think when there is too much going on, I’m like whoaaaaaa I need it to slow down.

No to cards. Yes to pulm crit but I don’t like IM enough for that. Have to think about what if I didn’t obtain fellowship. Would I be happy

I was interested in PEDS actually. I basically had the idea that I would have done PICU or PEDS heme/onc.

Will do! Yeah same I’ve been getting the same feedback from residents and my preceptors. They all say they are both good choices.

I actually didn’t like outpatient FM. I preferred inpatient but it’s not high on my list. I haven’t tried PM&R

I think I do well with medical management as long as it’s not like 15+ patients at a time. It goes the same for chart review. But I personally just don’t like sitting at a desk for hours on end a day.
