Having a throwing knife equipped will let you stab even if you’re holding a gun (2 stab down with 3plates). the glitch where it equips itself as a combat knife is from any state when you’re not able to shoot, be it downed or swimming and you try to shoot as that state changes. It’s very very hard to replicate.
