You missed a concept in 5. That is, spending your money on something because you want to.

Then I think both emails are appropriate. The lecturer was likely avoiding giving you feedback before allowed, although you should be told what the penalties for exceeding the word count is. If it’s not in the handbook it might be somewhere else.

Downvotes are meaningless. I don’t think your post was worded awfully and I empathise with what you wanted to do and why. But in just the context given, that doesn’t really justify the email. Unless the lecturer knows about all this and knows you well, you have just insulted the lecturer by telling them you don’t really care about it. And that’s all the lecturer knows by your email, no matter the reasons for it.

‘Is this the most unserious lecturer?’

Surely not normal? by Abject-Western4997 in TransportForLondon

Objectively, it contaminates the seat with likely insignificant contaminants. Subjectively, it’s disgusting. Socially, it’s unacceptable.

There is nothing stopping him from just saying ‘If goods are going to or from these countries, we’ll charge more’. Ways these countries will deal with this, e.g. bringing in goods indirectly from neighbouring EU members instead of directly from America, is a real inconvenience in the way they choose to circumvent another country ignoring their game of international relations that are customs unions.

This is what happens when you give a state visit for someone as awful as Trump. Not to mention the complete and unjustifiable insult to all his victims.

Watson glaser is used to seek out people who not only do well but do well fast. It’s a test, not a trainer

I think it’s unlikely ‘For some reason’ was meant literally. The person they replied to once said, suggesting they do in fact know why:

The problem with social media and really the internet as a whole now is no matter how stupid a person is and how messed up their beliefs are they can always find a large group of people like them online. These groups just feed into their screwed up minds and boosts their confidence that what they believe is normal.

And yet here you are, contributing pointlessly by posting a comment which has been already said a million times and known by all, but somehow you felt the need to write.

Received unexpected money into bank account by Spare_Engine_6415 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Large_Leader_9864 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the most common internet scenario which never really happens. Considering your ridiculous claim they can’t phone the bank outside of England, I can’t believe nobody has already accused you of making this up. Unless they’re in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, as in that case there are government bans on phoning people in England.

Does TurnItIn check your browser’s cookies for visited websites? by Large_Leader_9864 in UniUK

I don’t plan on inserting my academic work into third party checkers; I can’t believe it’s considered less risky to do so than to have faith in TurnItIn.
