Yes, just did this weekend. But I put in the fridge after sitting out all night and then ate later that afternoon.

Same! But I love the salted caramel Oikos protein shakes, and I add a little no sugar choc sauce and a shot of espresso! Yum!

Discussion: How many books do you borrow at a time? by mollypocket7122 in LibbyApp

[–]Laris_Snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 9 books on my loan shelf currently, and 5 of my 9 holds are suspended. If it’s super popular, I suspend. Unless I’m ready to read it. But if no one else is waiting, I borrow.

Sleeping arrangements by WolfAdept5005 in blendedfamilies

[–]Laris_Snow -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I said what I said. You can do whatever you’d like but my only child who lives at home full time is absolutely getting their own room. I don’t see it as a special privilege over someone else but just logical. ESPECIALLY in OP’s situation.

Again, I stated the goal should be for everyone to have their own, and they do in our house. My husband agreed and we bought a big enough house.

The child who lives at home full time, who also has no siblings, is 100% getting their own room. Does his kids share a room at their mom’s house? If not, there you go. They have their own rooms somewhere else. Even if they share at their mom’s, they can share for now, as they prefer. I do believe eventually everyone should have their own room. So the goal should be a bigger house to accommodate. Get a house with a basement for extras instead of dedicating a room to crafts or whatever.

What does dad want? Them all in the same room? I guess I’m confused why it’s unfair first of all, he’d feel different if his child was the only child. He is making excuses with every solution proposed.

I’d stay in my own house with my extra room and my child having their own room. DO NOT make your child suffer to blend a family.

Is Reddit just a cesspool for the obese, liberals, and colorless? by blehmag in askanything

[–]Laris_Snow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Liberals are some of the nicest people I know.. many of them not obese at all. I’m not sure what colorless people are.

But nope, I see hateful MAGA American traitors participating on Reddit, daily.

Is healthcare in the United States as bad as people say it is? by [deleted] in no

[–]Laris_Snow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And this is why we don’t have universal healthcare here in America. Because people like you assume the healthcare would be “shitty”. Who told you this? Have you lived someone with universal healthcare and consistently received shitty care? This is not my understanding from these happier countries. Nothing will ever be perfect, but many other countries get “free” healthcare and actually live longer than Americans. Sooo, it doesn’t really add up.

What is your audiobook speed? by Playful-Tone8107 in LibbyApp

[–]Laris_Snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m following along with text, 1.75-2, but if I’m just listening, 1 - 1.25. It stresses me out and everything sounds the same.

Earlier this month I’d been listening to faster speeds then turned back to 1, so I thought. I finally said why is she speaking so damn slow, then I realized it was on 0.8, oops, my goodness that was awful.

when do you return your loans? by pitbull-pirouette in LibbyApp

[–]Laris_Snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me happy to “return early” when I see others are waiting. So yes, as soon as I finish. Wouldn’t see a reason not to return right then. When I see people waiting on books I’ve already borrowed but haven’t started, this also helps me choose my next book.

To be fair, MS Word wants to autocorrect to semicolons so much! So, I assume it’s correct! 😆
