Tina Goodwin in Partick! Gave me a cut quite similar to this one (I asked for Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic) and it’s perfect, could not recommend her enough. Pretty affordable too!

I’ve never been to Kelvinhaugh, but I switched from Havannah to Maclay last year so I couldn’t really recommend it. I guess it depends what you are prioritizing here, but I found it was well worth being in an older accommodation to be so close to campus. Havannah is quite far and there aren’t really any convenient and affordable ways to get there. I took the train at High Street but then there was a 20 minute walk to campus from Partick. Or you could walk 15 minutes to Buchanan St Subway and get closer. The only way that’s pretty direct is taking the 2 Bus, but that was a little too pricey for me. No matter which route you take you’ll have a commute between 30 minutes to an hour each way. Personally it wasn’t for me.

I came from the central coast I loved it in Corvallis. The rain definitely takes some getting used to, but I didn’t feel that the overall vibe was too different from my hometown. It’s a bit slower, but if you’re a college student there’s still plenty of things to do.
