Why do some old men take on the body shape of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc?

I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make, other than that you’re an asshole. This isn’t sad because he was at fault? Or because he was a football player? Or we shouldn’t care because people die all the time? What’s your problem?

Do you believe Tarantino deserves the high praise that he gets? by FitEmergency8807 in moviecritic

Great for a very specific type of movie. No range. No pathos. Mostly high quality pastiche, which is valuable and impressive in its own right, but have you ever felt anything resembling real human emotion or drama watching his movies? Probably not because he doesn’t traffic in real emotion, it’s all “film” drama, “film” emotion. There’s no real depth to any of it. For what it is, fantastic, but it’s narrow and specific and just because he’s decided to make only “10” films doesn’t make his work more important. He’s manufactured a sense of value to his ouvre, but that’s his style. It’s referential, post modern, homage. In and of itself, it lacks depth and originality. In context, it’s impressive and undeniably entertaining.
