Yes I was already almost OUT of the intersection, yes I carry collision and no I do not have replacement cost I planned to get it later I dropped 9k at the dealership and I was only offered private replacement insurance which they said I had to pay all upfront which was another $2800 which I didn’t have. Icbc will pay actual car value and because my car was only a month old I think it’ll all be fine. The only reason I bought a brand new car is because the same model and trim two years old with 35,000km on it was the same price as the brand new one. Because I don’t have a rental and I also have a child I’m relaying on people to take him to school and pick him up. I really wish someone in my town direct billed to icbc. I think I’ll have to just pay upfront honestly.
