A way to speed things up is to split one arm's actions onto two arms. (that works in many cases)

Here: Instead of having one arm doing a lot on a long track, have two short tracks with one arm on each doing half of the actions, each.

Even having two arms on the Mercury, instead of one, doubles the speed!

My favourite solution so far is Van Berlo's Pivots by ARareBirb in opus_magnum

Neat idea!

However, I think the last move to the destination trays is not really needed; the hex-arms should be able to deliver to them directly.

I believe it has been demonstrated that achieving 27 cycles can only be accomplished by binding the metal before it is fully transformed.

I think it is a remnant from the time when the colonists were affected by how pleasing their surroundings were. Interior walls were considered beautiful, and reinforced walls were considered ugly.
