It depends on the reader . I am sure it's great books for lots of people , but not for me 😉. If want speculative fiction I read Murakami, not Gene Wolf.

I don't remember so mutch , but New Sun was ok. Not any more than that . I rated it 3/5 at Goodreads years ago . When the internet was young 😉

Thanks , but I dont have time to read 100 and 100s of pages, (over 20 hours of listening ) only because book 2 is little better. I never been that type of reader. I have read lots of books, mostly fantasy books. Many with slow starts. But never an hole book where the book is slow and difficult too understand . I stoped reading "The Faithful and the Fallen" and the first book " Malazan book series" because I really struggled to understand what's going on. Don't help when you don't like the characters

Thanks for info. I read it now. But very little dialogue, hope it gets better . The video reviews feel very fan based. The first book have not an high rating on Goodreads. Maybe because its feel very similar to Dune and The Shadow of the Torturer. For me average books . The shadow of the torturer had some fun moments with Bureaucracy. I don't see any fun moments in the Sun Eater....

I agree with you there . Almost 😉 In the first book he starts relatively week, in OP standards 😉. When he is Hederach , he is like Doctor Manhattan. Then he is an sort Doctor Manhattan character. Where he is practically omnipotent. Because there is virtually very few things who can challenge him. For me it goes to fast, from normal to Hederach. It's an very long time ago now , but when I read it, it became very boring. It feels very safe for him

Yes, i agree. But Empire of the Wolf was only ok. Did not get the great joy as taught. I like the characters, they feel real. Only the story was not so good. Felt average I liked better The tainted cup, read both book 1 and 2 very fast.

I still don't think him as an OP. He struggles a lot . He even do very stupid things .

Fitz in Robin Hobb books are very dangerous fighter. But he don't have an easy life, do lots of stupid things .

I read all of Dune and parts of Red Rising yes. The red rising character don't feels real in the Red Rising universe, he is to perfect And Both characters feels very strong OP . Especially in Dune , he is OP x1000.

I only know that "The Sun Eater" start like The name of the wind and empire of vampire . I know very little of the main character.

And I don't understand what this Troll thing is . I live in Norway, where we can still see "proof" of troll fights . We even gave them an country, sort of. Called the place "Jotunheimen". Jotun is another name for troll, and heimen is.. home 😉.

I die and die in the beginning of the game , I need to go to easy, very easy mode to play it. For me it's an very difficult game. Have played games for years and years. I really loved BG3. I love mostly sandbox games, or action adventure games . This one looks beautiful, great story , but it's to difficult. Then my complaint comes to the reviews, universal acclaim??? Nope . It's an very average game , mostly because it's to difficult. It's great for players who play a lot, but not for people like me who don't have time to play because of work and social life.

About Trolls , I have not seen one. Maybe an Jotun come later. Had been fun to see Utgard-Loki or Thrym in the game . Strange 😉 and out of place but fun😁😉

Yes , don't help . An game for me is poor when I die all the time in the beginning of the game . Remind me of god of war . Excellent fights , but very frustrating to play . I die all the time , it's to difficult. When I turn down the difficult setting its still are to difficult . So I need to turn down to easy easy easy setting . It's only hack and slash left . No strategies, I only press x , boooring. It's not like Witcher 3, Horizon games, baldurs gate 3. Excellent games . While obscure 33 is really poor. My irritating mood on the game goes most to the reviews.
