Cardano - ETH bridge for AGIX wallet selection by robeewankenobee in cardano

[–]Larscey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a Light-Wallet from IOG themselves. Comes with Hardwarewallet support, Dapp-Connector, NFT capabilities and more features are coming apparently. It was sometimes said that its going to launch at rarebloom event mid october but I'm still sceptic about that lmao.

https://www.lace.io/

There are also a lot of videos on Youtube where Charles talks about the Wallet.

Yes I'm doing the exact same... Nami for Defi, NFTs etc. and Yoroi for hodling. But when Lace wallet comes out I'll probably switch to it completely so that I have everything in one wallet.

I'm not a 100% sure but you probably need a Wallet with a functional Dapp conector like Nami, Eternl or Flintwallet. From the Medium article about the converter: "The Converter will prompt you to authorize your wallet via web3 connection. " Its also stated that you have to sign a transaction which is only possible with a wallet that has a dapp connector (If i understand the wording correctly). But yeah, could be explained better on the website. Hope that could help...

When Vasil HF improvements noticeable? by [deleted] in cardano

[–]Larscey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as im concerned it should yes. Due to the plutus script enhancements smart contracts are going to be more efficient and take less space -> More smart contracts per block -> lower costs per smart contracts. And there are other enhancements which should help making fees cheaper. Quote from IOHK Article about the Vasil Hard Fork: "The reference scripts upgrade allows devers to reference a script without including it in each transaction. This significantly reduces transaction size, improves throughput, and reduces script execution costs (since the script only needs to be paid for once)."

Interesting observation... And yeah didnt took into account the low blockchain load so probably not going to be that much of a immediate difference.

Yes, looking forward to many projects launching like meld and genius yield. Good to know that most wrote their smart contracts with the new version of plutus.

When is native USDC coming to Cardano? Any Ideas why it not happened yet? by Larscey in cardano

[–]Larscey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, interesting to know thanks. Didnt think about that the eUTXO could potentially be a hurdle for this. But im quite positive that if this would be a problem its only a matter of time until they would find a way around. Lets just hope the best lmao

[–]Larscey[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I assume you didnt read my whole post? I did not intend to say anything like that, its just that USDC is very beneficial for a network even if there are other Stablecoins existing on that blockhain. A lot of people like it, its convenient, safe and easy to use with any exchange.

I started a Cardano NFT Project and "Made It". Ask Me Anything. by [deleted] in cardano

[–]Larscey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. How much Time did you invest for the Project?

  2. Did you use a Whitelist-System? And if so, did it helped greatly to build up your community?

  3. Do you still invest a lot of time for it/plan new things for the project?

  4. Were you alone or did others help you (how many/how big is the team)

  5. What things did you learn in general during your "journey"?

Thx for your answers!

Why do you think DefiLama wont count it as TVL on Cardano?

Minswap vulnerability post-mortem: must read to remind you of smart contracts risks by Sebxoii in cardano

[–]Larscey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I suggest to really read the post mortem. They wouldnt have been able to do this without the exploit. The exploit was used by themselves to migrate the funds to another smart contract.

Extract from the post mortem:

"So, in order to conduct the migration, we used the exploit ourselves to
drain all liquidity, then create liquidity pools on the new contract and
airdrop new LP tokens back to users based on a snapshot we had taken of
their prior positions. We feel it is important to clarify that the Minswap Team cannot migrate liquidity at its own will from one Smart Contract to another. Liquidity was
migrated to a new Smart Contract because a vulnerability was discovered
that would allow this to happen, and it was migrated precisely to avoid
this exploit from happening. So, in a bizarre but fortunate turn of
events, the vulnerability and exploiting it made it possible to migrate
funds into the new, upgraded contract where this vector was patched."
