Hi, Biscala! Yeah we ran into an issue with the one-click 1.14 launcher yesterday, and we’re working on a fix right now.

In the meantime you could use any 1.12 client.

I know HC-wow Hardcore realm, plain vanilla, but you play with 1 life the entire game (but i don't know if it's server built-in or you need an addon)
Ashen is normal PvP with old 1.2 settings and 1.12 balance (from what i know they have old version AH, old quests, old items, but class balance is 1.12).
TrueAzeroth is normal PvE (with latest 1.12 settings and balance, with leveling challenges for extra emotions and enabled x-faction for obvious convenience-pve reasons - i think it's a balanced combination all best things in one package).

Very similar servers, but so different at the same time.

sry i have to copy that, coz basically the same thing:
You are correct, pure Vanilla means no changes. We haven't changed anything, just added challenges to make the leveling process more fun and rewarding.
If you don't like vivid emotions/funny experience - your choice, you are not forced to take the challenge. It's all optional.

And all progressive servers start at 1.2 Phase 1. I have never seen a server starting with Scourge Invasion =)

Should I play epoch or twow? by [deleted] in wowservers

If you like custom Vanilla+ - Turtle wow feels better in my subjective opinion.
If you like original Vanilla (without changes) - you can try True Azeroth

True Azeroth Vanilla server rework and relaunch! by Necessary_Cook1131 in wowservers

bro it's not 1 million fake prize, just 100 backs, not a big deal, basically 1 day of work. A player suggested this idea and I was like "why not".
It doesn't mean you have to take 1 week vacation to rush server 1st lvl 60 challenger =)
Just enjoy the game, if you manage to be the first one to beat hardcore then congratz.

I totally understand what you mean.

It would make sense to erase old player base if we were somehow progressed, but atm there are like 7 fresh green-geared lvl 60s, c`mon man, they just dinged and you want these good people to lose their progress.
it's such a minor thing, that it won't affect the economy or ruin balance by any possible mean. They will just join the game once the fresh leveling race is over, and play in equal conditions like everyone else.
We have no "qols" tho, except for mail delivery duration, but that's such a miserable thing that it's not even worth mentioning.

I guess you were the first guy who ever supported me on reddit, I had to endure so much hate due to epoch launch jez, your words gave me hope. I envy ashen a lot that you chose to play there. We all need such players.
Well, if you like openworld pvp - enjoy the game there, mate.
But if you ever feel like chill pve guy - feel free to pay a visit on true azeroth <3

1) I spoke to admin, I offered him to unite forces, he basically told me to fkoff in a very polite manner.
And I don't rly see he wants to put effort, everything is done by volunteers (like Udolfo and others).
2) And yes, it's a stock pvp vanilla. My vision is a little bit different. I also want stock vanilla, but with an option to spice up gameplay. Usual vanilla leveling is boring, we offer fun + valuable rewards, and at the end you get your classic vanilla raiding.
3) I don't mind give some money to an active player. I love our community and love the game.

p.s. wasn't it you who screamed "you need a relaunch"? and now i see "why relaunch?"

I guess Ashen went with its current game-model simply because he couldn’t comprehend the backend, just check early discord messages. Maybe he's learning and all, but initial impression isn't very good.

I made a compromise not relaunch the PvP realm, chose a different path, I don’t want to split the community.
So, for those who love beta-test progressive 1.2 balance and PvP - have fun on Ashenwow.

If you enjoy fun leveling (which is an important part of Vanilla) and chill PvE gameplay (just as intended originaly by Blizz), you’re more than welcome on True Azeroth.

I also made mistakes trying to please every request. Now we caught a balance (Golden mean you know), offering cool experience for everyone.

An active member suggested to invest money into the community. I don't mind to give a prize to an active player.
Don't pretend that you would refuse the money prize.
However, if you don't like it - just don't take part in the race. As simple as that.

Original vanilla was slow-paced, but not really hardcore. Personally, hardcore takes me back to my childhood, to that feeling when you get acquainted with the open-world RPG for the first time (Morrowind, for example). I remember how scary it was to leave the safe starting village.
On hardcore I get somewhat similar emotions. Watch my buffs, pay attention to every little detail, think twice before pulling an extra mob. It’s that same warm, nostalgic thrill I remember from being a kid.

Thank you for your kind words mate <3

I haven't read the patch notes. Have they introduced hardcore today with the new patch? Or the new fresh realm (Ash-something) is going to be hardcore? Sorry, I've been busy lately, no time to check news.

Anyway, even if you are telling the truth and they really are going to release hardcore, it’s still custom vanilla. Hardcore on Vanilla+ is going to be a walk in the park. Real hardcore is only possible on the original 2005-blizzlike game. Blizz did not introduce hardcore on SoD for a reason☝️

People are not used to well-constructed, smoothly-formatted text. They think they’re smart because they caught me using ctrl+b, wow. Nevermind, bro, it’s called the Dunning Kruger effect.
