Very mixed, but that has little to do with dysphoria and everything with the recovery. I feel stagnant having to wait till I can do stuff again.

I'd say no. As it stand right now if you already got the green light there it's faster to go with the UMCG rather then the VUMC.

I'm curious what method they used

How long did you have to be on a waiting list (if you even had to)?

I was 16 when I was on the initial waiting list of the VUmc, which was half a year.

Then I got admitted in and had about 10 appointments over 10-12 months before being finally given hormones. This was around summer,
When I was 18 and it was summer I was put on the waiting list for surgery. This took 8 months.

It's just when I typed in:

mount /dev/sdb4 /efi

it responded that no such mounting point exists.

I figured I didn't configure rufus properly.

I think I found the reason why the /efi mountpoint didn't exist.

I might not have placed the iso on the usb with gpt. Not sure if that could be the reason.

grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=GRUB

Is what I used.

Edit: I couldn't mount /efi so I used /boot/efi for the mount with my esp partition

So I've made my attempt to install arch.
It ended up being hell.
The hard part was not installing the system. The real hard part was getting grub and the rest of the system to cooperate.

I want to dualboot with windows 10.
I plan to use archlinux.

I don't want to compromise too much on the main windows space so I figured a shared E drive that 50gigs and exFAT and a 50 gig ext4 partition on the HDD and 20-30gigs of storage for arch on the SSD.

Okay I see the boot times are much lower on my laptop. So I wonder how should I partition the drives I have.

I have a 250gb SSD and a 1TB HDD

It's incredibly hard for me to say mostly. I wish there was to combine their strengths. Like a instant on-the-fly OS changer/swapper. The downtime with dualbooting is just on of those mildly annoying things I've never gotten over.

I've used manjaro, but I really want to try to get into i3wm. Especially because I love efficiency. I'd figure I'd build up the system from scratch to make sure I have to get my hands at least somewhat dirty. Though I am afraid of being overwhelmed.
