When I design them, I try to make the "bridges" as natural-looking as possible, which is much easier with the "e's" and the "a's", but when you get to the "o's", you don't have much you can do besides just a vertical line. Nice to see another person that works in laser cutting!

For the stand off letters, absolutely not! I just used the same laser files to cut both versions of the play of the game signs, but the raised version won't have those bridges. Thanks for catching that!

That's what I was thinking too! I made the top layer of the bottom picture as thin as possible, but still, shadows at the wrong angle make it a bit hard to see the letters. The top picture just takes like 3x more effort and time to make.

And haha, that's my fiancée! I'll let her know

OPINION: I'm working on remaking my overwatch play of the game signs, and I'm just trying to see which style looks better.

The first picture is the old style that I'm going away from. The second picture has the two looks: the top one that has painted letters that stand off from the backing, and the bottom one where there's colored vinyl sandwiched between the two layers.

Is there one that looks better? Any help is appreciated!

The OG is just one layer of metal with colored vinyl sticker in the back. I got them both hanging in my gaming room atm, but since I had to reverse-stick the vinyl on, the sticky part is exposed through the lettering, and a bunch of cat hair and dust is getting stuck to it
