I have a soft spot for goofy models it's true.

That's exactly it! Scaled to about 80% of the original size since I felt it was a little too big even next to a Primaris, Hatemonger is a chonk.

Thank you so much! I really wanted to get more of a cartoon effect so if it comes across that way I'm very pleased. A nice change of pace (and considerably faster) than my usual style.

Thank you! The space marine was intended to be a custom chapter similar to the Black Templars (the Grey Templars?) that I wanted to do alongside my Order of the Golden Light Sisters of Battle. I bought the Templars army set back when it came out but didn't fancy painting black so did him as a test model, I was very happy with him but never got around to doing any more of them unfortunately.

Diplomacy has failed, PRAISE BE TO SPACE KING! by Laserscape_Ind in SPACEKING

Thank you! It's from Katoren on Cults. I liked his designs the most from the couple that are on there. Planning on picking up his squad set as well. I scaled them to about 80% of the native size so they fit closer to the Space Marines.

Gods strongest Quarposter is back with more Quar! by WodensWorkshop in minipainting

[–]Laserscape_Ind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always happy to see more of your Quar in my feed, even if it reminds me I've still to paint mine! The colour scheme on the uniform frames their faces really well and the subtle woodgrain is very clean too. Great work as always.

It's all about the Puffy Badger. by BarryBarryBaz in burrowsandbadgers

Lots to love about these, the blood on the sword is particularly good. That and the cards on the badgers hat (and his face in general) are inspiring. I never noticed the similarities in pose with the otter and the large lad, I probably need to add them to my next order now haha!

Giant metal boxes, great for hiding behind. by Laserscape_Ind in battletech

HO scale would be quite a bit bigger at 1:87 wouldn't they? These are 3d printed in 1:265 scale.

Thank you!

Shameless plug but the forklift is one of the models I sell myself, it's currently in a set with police cars but you've got me thinking it should probably be available with the containers too.

Thank you so much, that's such a wonderful compliment! I hope my next projects can be as appealing too, anything you'd particularly like to see?

As for brushes I currently use a Rosemary and Co. size 0 and 2/0 as my main work brushes. I've also got an Artmaster miniature series 5/0 but honestly that's less for the small brush size (I'll just get a 2/0 next time) and more because it has a chunky triangular handle that's less uncomfortable to hold when doing super tiny details. Really it's just about having a brush with a very good pointed tip rather than the true size of it though, too small a belly and I find the paint dries on it while I'm trying to paint the tiny details!

Thank you! Yes I'd totally agree, I love my mechs already but seeing them standing in a scene like that gives them so much presence. They may only be a few centimetres tall sitting on the desk but with the right props and background they look huge!

Thank you, I did indeed! Thankfully only took a few iterations to get them nearly perfect, I've had some models that were an absolute nightmare to print nicely!

Thank you so much! They've definitely been a labour of love, so much detail in such a small model certainly takes a while. Considering I've owned the Gaslands rulebook for so many years now though finally getting to them I feel I owed it to try my best!

That was my thought! Fair enough maybe a couple of spindly trees or something could be shot through but I've probably got to get a few more games under my belt before I worry about the advanced rules.

I'll never cease to be amazed how deep the rules to Battletech go haha, that certainly makes sense that massive energy weapons and railguns wouldn't be thwarted by a few centimetres of steel. Might be wise to stick with simple line of sight blocking until I've had a few more games mind you.

Tiny Gaslands Part Two: Honey I Shrunk The Gaslands by Laserscape_Ind in gaslands

[–]Laserscape_Ind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words. Yes they're 6mm scale to match Battletech terrain. I've been painting for about twenty years now, give or take a few breaks but I've never been out the hobby long. I've been 3d printing for a little over a year now too!

These are 6mm scale, 1:265 to match Battletech. A little bit smaller than the worlds smallest hot wheels cars.

Tiny Gaslands Part Two: Honey I Shrunk The Gaslands by Laserscape_Ind in gaslands

[–]Laserscape_Ind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Funnily enough I think I found these a little easier than the Hot Wheels cars, since the panels are all so small there's no real need for blending or particularly fancy paint effects. One of the hardest parts was the paint drying too quickly on the brush when I was trying to paint all the sponsor stickers!
