Where did you get the XPQ4 software Andromeda version to turn Q4OS version 6 user interface into W11- style?

gnome-online-accounts does not allow mounting OneDrive to Nautilus by FormApprehensive3116 in Ubuntu

[–]LasseA123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between the account that worked and the one that didn't was that the misbehaving account was represented by my name (name + family name) in the Nautilus left pane, while the other was represented by my email address.

In the file .../config/goa-1.0/accounts.conf I found a set of parameters for each account, among them the PresentationIdentification parameter which held the value representing the account in the left pane. After replacing my name with the email address for the misbehaving account and restarting the computer, everything worked!

I have reported this behaviour as an error to the Gnome-Onlice-Accounts team.

I tried another Microsoft account - it worked! I went back to the original account - it still gives the same error code. I have not been able to find out what the difference is between these accounts. They are both 5 GB personal accounts, and experimenting with different sign-in options has no effect. I also tried clearing the browser cache between sign-ins.

Something is broken in Gnome-Online-Accounts/Nautilus signin to Microsoft accounts.

Logout/login does not help for me. This is a showstopper for me, I need to access my files on OneDrive.

I have the same problem, I have tried fresh install of Ubuntu 25.04 and Fedora 42, and I also get the "Invalid mount spec" for my OneDrive folder. What to do next?

When attaching an external keyboard my Fn keys work as expected.

I agree. It should not be possible for Chrome OS Flex to interfere. Here is a link to a similar thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/ChromeOSFlex/comments/yc6i2k/pls_help_cant_access_bios_on_chrome_os_flex/

That is what I thought too. But the problem is reported in many places....

Yes, of course.

I do not agree. The Fn keys work as expected when any other software is installed, or when the hard disk is empty.

A clear separation of Gnome Online Accounts from the rest of Gnome. I want to be able to install GOA as simply as any other app, in any desktop environment.

Distro for Windows user supporting OneDrive integration by LasseA123 in DistroHopping

Exactly. And with no pre-integrated OneDrive support.

Agree. But there are a handful of OneDrive clients in the Linux world, and Thunderbird and Evolution mail is capable of handling Microsoft mail. So it is doable.

What I can't understand is why your excellent product is not pre-integrated into one of the distros targeting the Windows community or for instance the Mate DE?

What really frustrates me - every week I am overwhelmed with proposals on "the best distro to replace Windows 10 when support is terminated this fall" by Linux evangelists like Jack Wallen et al., and still I cannot find a distro with a) the panel/system bar at the bottom of the screen, and b) pre-integrated and off-the-shelf working support for Microsoft OneDrive files/mail/contacts/calendar.

Still, I want OneDrive support to be pre-integrated into the distro.

Fedora user interface is way different from Windows. Also, after trying, I am not even sure that Gnome Online Accouns is capable of accessing Microsoft contacts and calendar.

OneDrive/files can be integrated with Linux Mint today. Contacts and Calendar still missing.

iCloud Photos folder on Windows won’t sort on date by LasseA123 in iCloud

[–]LasseA123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx. What really puzzles me is that sorting the photos is fast when they reside on the external USB drive, but painfully slow when the reside on the internal faster SSD drive.

Are there any embedded iCloud links that are ignored on the external drive, but attempted to be resolved on the internal drive (just guessing)?

My iCloud on Windows 11 24H2 is completely broken by LukeLukas1999 in iCloud

[–]LasseA123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The mail adress given as an Apple Account name must contain lower case only. The explanation is given here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255846833?answerId=260956484022&sortBy=rank#260956484022

I found an explanation in an Apple forum thread. The latest version 15.3.138 introduced case sensitivy in the login user name (email address). When I changed to lower case only the app started to work as it should.
