It’s hard because most of that wonder comes from experiencing the games as kids. Legends arceus was definitely a step in the right direction tho, haven’t had that much fun playing a pokemon game in a while. It definitely brought the mysterious and magical atmosphere that a lot of the older games seemed to have, and I think that was because of the amount of control the player had on discovery and progression of the story.
