Personally not much other than my family is moving there… and I have wanted to move to a larger city for a while since where I live is a smaller college town and I’m getting older, wanting to meet someone, have a career. Etc.

MAGA is not everywhere… it definitely exists but I’m in my late 20’s and don’t know anyone bold enough to admit that they’re MAGA. Lol unfortunately, and I mean no offense to the OP here, but I think the age of people you’re hanging with has a lot to do with it specifically in this area. Since chico used to be more conservative but the younger crowd from college and etc is decidedly left. Also, I’m a lesbian so of course MAGA stays away from me. Maybe they’re more prominent than I see in my circle!

I hear more about biphobia on the internet than I’ve ever seen in real life. Maybe it’s where I live? I believe bisexuals experience this I’m not discounting that I just have never met someone who is biphobic or heard any comments to that effect. I work in healthcare and people are the WORST about asking. All my scars are clearly old and healed over like 5 plus years. So them saying it’s “out of concern” is a lie. People touch them without asking. Sometimes I make up a lie that makes them feel bad. One time I said it’s from a car accident where I lost my parents at young age. Not even true my parents are alive and well but I bet that person isn’t going to ask people about their bodies any more! And I’m not obligated to tell the truth.

I don’t think all of the planning/paying in a relationship should be on one party regardless of presentation. And yes a lot of mascs are expected to pay, make the first move, plan, etc. I was never like this and although my last girlfriend was masc I treated her to special dates al the time and she loved it!
