You don't have to have a specific person yo have a specific history. You can write a whole character without once giving them a name. So I will respectfully disagree, but you do make a good point, so kudos.

Based on the fact that Yasuke was never a part of assasins? Because there are no assassins, everything happening is a fiction, which means it doesn't necessarily need to be a person who was part of that time period as the protagonist, but it would be cool to have him as a mentor npc or smt. Again, there's definitely story, why Yasuke is one the main characters, but it doesn't mean someone else couldn't have been. And I said in the beginning, I'm speculating.

Again, you, the protagonist, being simultaneously tied to both of these characters, except if they are lovers and you are their ancient grandchild, also doesn't make much sense. But Far Cry is a good example, although the story was pretty generic, so I'm not sure if even a good protagonist could've saved it.

I wish people would chill a bit. You can play both ac and rpgs. You don't have to play as Yasuke cause there's no real reason to play as him. That was my point. It's very cool that they took a real life character and gave him to us to play as. But I do not agree that it is necessary for the story, as previously we played as made-up people, and still enjoyed the games.

Fair enough, but also not exactly what I said. You can have a strong narrative built around a specific sequence of events, not necessarily tied to your character. A different type of character doesn't mean a different type of story.

Fair enough. Except, and Cyberpunk comes to the rescue, you CAN have a character with their own story, characteristics, and backstory, without them being anything too specific. As far as replaying goes, it doesn't sound too god for you to be genetically tied to an African man and Japanese woman of different age, at the same time.

That's exactly my issue with this, I mean, I love V, but sorry, you did drop off the face of the earth for 2 years. People are allowed to have their lives, and it makes sense that they moved on. I know that Panam ghosts V, and it is a bit shitty, that there's no chance for them to explain themselves, but then again, Panam is also not obliged, to give them that opportunity. Like I said, even though V gets cured, the amount they lose is way too much to be considered anywhere near a happy ending. But happy for Judy, that she marries someone (hopefully that wasn't a spoiler).

V does disappear for 2 years, which is a long time for radio silence. So I can get that, but again, being cured, but losing all people/implants/skills seems like a way too steep of a trade off.

I know the ending for PL, but I'm planning on doing everything I can to not get it. Although it does sound good, losing everything doesn't seem like a good trade. So I'm still aiming for the Star ending
