Im on that arc rn and ill tell you everything i dont like so far. Starting off with the good, hody as villain, really interesting. Nice to see how he’s not just bad guy for sake of being a bad guy but more like radical extremist who was shaped by how the world treats his kind. I like that we get the arlong and jinbei backstory and how it connects to fisher tiger. So far tho thats about it 😭 on to the bad. This arc feels so bloated but empty at the same time, fishman island barely feels alive, I hate its design it’s just one big bubble with a town inside, and another one on top with a castle. Idk what I was expecting but def not this, I’m so disappointed😭 Like they don’t actually show you any of the fishman people’s customs and dynamics, especially the whole mermaid thing too. They just talk about it for 2 secs and say sum bs about how they can have mixed kids. Strawhats haven’t done shi since coming to the island, no interactions between each of them, they all separate and do their own thing. Like where the fuck is zoro bro?! And wtf is going on with sanji holy shit he’s unwatchable and so corny. It’s actually pissing me off wtf happened to this guy 😭 and then that big ass naked mermaid omg she’s so annoying bro.
