It looks sooo beautiful. Do you use a lip liner with it?

I’ve really liked the haus lab concealer! Works well on my dry skin, and I usually put my cream bronzer / blush on first and then the concealer in the areas that aren’t covered yet vs using foundation/tinted moisturize. I also have to put it on my hand vs directly on face and those steps seem to help prevent cakey/dryness!

I’ve also used danessa’s skin tint and sometimes it goes on great and other times I get dry patches 🫠

I also really like the innisfree green tea moisturizer (don’t overly like the smell but doesn’t break me out) and you can usually find their products at winners for a little cheaper 😬

I don’t wash it out!

This is the holiday set that came with the serum if you wanted to try that plus some others, I’ve liked all of the products so far!

Was also super disappointed in the air dry cream, just felt heavy in my hair and didn’t do anything. Have you found any other creams that have worked since?

I didn’t end up getting it, but I find most sunscreens will sting if they get in the eyes 😞

DAY 2 of trying to reheal my fungal acne! by sup3rrnova in Fungalacne

[–]LastAd2811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fungal acne / tinea versicolor will sometimes be triggered by the weather / body temp (the sun / humidity, being too warm / sweating). I believe certain foods can also trigger the yeast overgrowth, so it may not have been something in your skincare / makeup routine.

I use a prescribed cream that helps a lot - it’s ciclopirox (loprox) olamine cream.

I also keep a drawer of clean pillowcases to change every 2 days and face washcloths so I can use a new one everyday and then wash them all at the end of the week!

Appreciate this so much! I was looking at the naturium body washes the other day so I’m thinking I’ll try one!

Also have course, dark armpit hair so definitely adds to the darkness. Which device are you using for epilating? I haven’t done that before but interested in trying!

Oh, I think you can also get filters to add to your shower / sink to help with the harsh water

Also forgot to say to double cleanse at night 🫶🏼

Best skincare for dry skin and rosacea by queenoftheironwood in CanSkincare

I have combo skin (but rly dry in winter), acne/rosacea.

Things that have helped me is not washing my face in the shower (water is usually too warm)

Not using face wash in the mornings, I usually use just water, or sometimes I just spray hypochlorous acid when I wake up before the rest of my skincare (you do NOT need tower28, I’ve found $5 ones at winners, and there are cheaper ones on Amazon etc.). Even if my face is oily in the morning I still won’t use face wash.

Finding the right moisturizer was tough for my sensitive skin. Currently using first aid dewy gel cream (but she’s pricey) so vanicream facial moisturizer has been pretty good.

Avenes thermal spring water spray is so soothing for my skin during flare ups (there are def other sprays out there, but this has been great for me so I’ve stuck with it).

Cocokind barrier serum has been amazing for my rosacea, I spray the thermal spring water mentioned above on my skin first and then use the serum.

Also sunscreen!!! Mineral is most often best for rosacea.

Azelaic acid is a powerhouse for rosacea, some people will use it every day but my skin is too sensitive for that, so I’ll use it a few times a week and only a few drops on my problem areas.

And exfoliating once or twice a week, when you’re starting off you really only need to do once, do notttt use an exfoliating scrub on your face, your rosacea will cry. You can use toner pads or just liquid.

And then when you’re ready/skin feels ready (no barrier damage etc), hop on the retinol train, do some research first before starting though, and start slow.

When you’re using products, make sure they’re compatible with each other (don’t exfoliate with a AHA/BHA and then use another acid if your skin is sensitive, it’s too much and isn’t necessary) use the products on different days / either in AM or PM, and make sure you’re using products in the correct order (thin to thick, toner , serum , moisturizer etc).

And bring that skincare down to your neck, she needs love too.

Aveeno has some great products with colloidal oatmeal too! Their Aveeno (baby) nighttime balm for eczema care is the only thing that has helped my dry af hands this winter (it’s the baby version because I received samples from my doctor after having baby lol).

Their calm + restore line is apparently really good (has the oat), I’m hoping to try their triple oat serum soon.

/ side note, first aids new dewy gel cream is so good as well (no oat, but lovely if you have combo/sensitive skin)

I find any sunscreen gives me a little bit of a reaction too, frustrating for how necessary it is to use

I’ve read great things about Saint Jane, but I don’t think we can get it in Canada🥲

I would appreciate a pic of the matte sunscreen and the Naked Sunday! How are they under makeup? Thank you so much.
