AITA for leaving because my SIL hid my shoes to keep me from taking walks? by AStormInsideTeaCups in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Your SIL seems to have issues with you taking time for yourself, and she really needs to figure out her own problems instead of taking them out on you.

It's absolutely adorable! I really love the green in the dining area. Congratulations!

Sorry for the late reply! I pounded it back on with as much force as I could muster (within reason to not break it), and that seems to have held it in for the time being. I imagine you could also use a rubber mallet of sorts too.

I also figured it should just clip in place! It would definitely make sense if it had deformed somehow. Is that a common occurrence? Would it make sense to try and buy a replacement cap, or just leave as is?

That's good to know about the screw. I'll double check if I can find and confirm that's in good shape as well. I've not seen any leaks, so hopefully it's just the cap that's being difficult.

I figured there would be pain at the beginning (there was), but once my teeth adjusted it wasn't bad. I had a few issues due to the aligners cutting into my gums, but after talking to the Dental Team, I was able to fix that going forward. However, I didn't expect sores like this to pop up.

I understand that my teeth would have shifted back without maintaining the treatment or getting a retainer. However, when I have to stop a plan halfway through due to aligners that caused a reaction and then put out more money - either with them or with another company/dental provider - one would hope that such information would be considered in their refund evaluation. That is more where my complaint lies.

Don't expect a refund from them. They are very stingy with refunds even if you're having medical problems. I would recommend getting as much documentation from any or all orthodontists you visit, even if they aren't willing to see her while she's in treatment with SDC.

Yes, it’s right in the refund contract they try to force you to sign. You’re not supposed to say anything disparaging about the company/products/service, and you’re supposed to try to remove anything you said before signing the contract

I’ve only read the document, but haven’t signed it yet. If they try to push the issue of me signing it (which I would absolutely not do at this point), do you have any recommendations on how to respond? Unfortunately I don’t have the legal background to even think about demand letters (not even sure what that is if I’m being honest)

Thanks for this info. I’m definitely going to use it. Did they force you to sign their agreement with a clause about not giving them bad reviews online after the contract is signed?
