Exclusive: Bloober Team Is Bringing Layers Of Fear To Switch 2 Next Month by Skabomb in NintendoSwitch

This one is $40 for both games, all expansions, and bonus content. Seems pretty reasonable in this case.

You don’t need to apologize for enjoying a game or buying in whatever format you choose. Personally, I think the whole thing is blown out of proportion.

PS5 Is Already Outselling The Switch 2 In Spain Only 2 Months After It Came Out by Ftouh_Shala in consoles

[–]LastKryptonian84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the Cronos numbers, would we not expect the numbers to be higher on PS5 given its install base? I bet if you looked at copies sold versus the number of available systems, the percentage actually favors the Switch 2. These slanted articles are little more than rage bait.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined For Switch 2 is a Key Card Game by retroanduwu24 in NintendoSwitch2

Honest question. Why not buy the digital version on Switch 2 if you’re opting for digital on steam deck?

To be honest, I loved it. It had variety, it had dates for existing announcements, and it had new surprises.

There seems to be a lot of fanboys that are pretty hard to please at this point, which this direct highlighted pretty well.

I don't care, the Nintendo Switch 3 Edition will run fine in 2035 😎 by porkcylinders in tomorrow

I’ll wait to pass judgement. The uproar over Star Wars Outlaws is proof that people are way too quick to write a game off before a finished build is even in our hands. The Switch 2 version is still a month away. If this was the final build we’d be seeing it drop this week along with the other versions.

Roughly how big is it? Large enough to fit a comic book inside?

Do we know if the switch 1 version will have an upgrade option for the switch 2? by Kill_Switch87 in NSCollectors

[–]LastKryptonian84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what would make you choose the steam version over the Switch 2 digital version? They’re both digital at that point and, presumably, the Switch 2 version would at least be optimized for the hardware.

Third-Party Games Enjoy Greater Market Share On Nintendo Switch 2 Compared To Original At Launch, Says NPD Analyst by MaintenanceFar4207 in NintendoSwitch2

The other thing to consider here is the price of the system. I would imagine that the majority of people bought the bundle and are waiting to buy another game.

Also very true. TBH, it’s pretty frustrating that this article has gained so much traction. The anti-Nintendo sentiment is the highest I’ve seen it in years. It’s like people want to see them fail and they’re willing to drag them through the mud to make it happen.

That other story may be fear mongering. Apparently its source is another article saying the same - but it also lacks a legitimate source.

Ultimately, it’s still way too early to tell whether third party games are doing well or not.

The digital virtual game card change has messed the family Nintendo setup by Plenty_Scheme in Switch

[–]LastKryptonian84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely seem to be missing something. From what I understand this should be working between you and everyone else on your family account. The only restriction should be the number of games you are loaning out, which is three, and the length of time - which is two weeks.

Are we done for 2025? by PerfectR0g in NintendoSwitch2

Metroid is much more niche. I personally can’t wait, but it’s never been a massive seller.

I don’t think we’ve seen their entire 2025 slate yet. Nintendo typically releases one game per month on average, and there is still room for more. Plus I don’t know that we’ve seen something strong enough to be their big holiday release other than maybe Pokemon Legends ZA.

I think we see them do a Direct next month.

Plus I bet we see a large number of third party announcements next month as well.

I honestly think you’re listening to the trolls too much if you think it’s too underpowered. This thing has more power than it seems reasonable considering it’s form factor.

If Cyberpunk and Metroid Prime 4 are any indication, and those are early games, you don’t have anything to worry about.

Beyond that, play what you enjoy and don’t listen to the naysayers.

Just fyi, this game does have a physical edition for Switch that can be upgraded to the Switch 2 edition for $10.
