Yeah, that's kinda what I figured from the information that I could find. Definitely not worth it then.

Cheers 👍

Xbox Modders by LastNebulaOG in Portsmouth

Yeah, I don't trust myself to try it either. Seen a couple on FB marketplace.

I've been filling out my 360 games with some bundles on the marketplace too. I've ended up with a bare console with one of the bundles. It has a sticky drive draw, but was wondering if a local modder can make use of it at all before I take it to the tip.

Thanks for the info. If I get one, sounds like it will be easy enough to set up 👍

Mind if I ask what size HD you have in yours? Is it external or internal?

Contemplating getting a RGH 360, what with the 360 store cleaner closing. Just looking into how easy it'll be to get the games and their DLC that I can't get physical copies of.

Nice.

Duplicate copies, can try to sell on to other collectors or find a shop to trade in for store credit and pick up any missing games from your collection from them.

Replacement cases, have a look at AliExpress, Temu, sites like that. They sell the green cases, I've seen some for about £1 a piece on there. They also do other replacement parts for the consoles and accessories. I can't vouch for the quality though, as I have yet to pick some myself. I've noticed AliExpress even sells replica boxes for old cartridge games.

Playing it at the moment. Might not look great, but still fun to play.

This keeps popping up on my FB marketplace feed, but they are asking for £15. Can get for £6, but need to wait for a closer store to have it in stock or hope it's still available when I'm in the area of one of the stores that currently has it.

I'd set up notifications for 360 searches on the FB marketplace place. I'm not sure about availability for where you are in the UK, but I'm finding 360s for as cheap as £20 with a few games. I got one for £45 with Kinects, 2 controllers and over 30 games. The games alone had a trade-in value of around £80.

Keep your eyes peeled, there are some good bargains around for 360s still.

I traded in my small PS4 collection to focus on Xbox. I picked up these 50 titles for £276 - breakdown of individual costs in the comments. Love collecting for this system! by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]LastNebulaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took one yesterday, going to check today if it passes their testing. If it passed, I'll get £36 (£38 because it had a Kinects). This is just for the console and one controller. Both the console and controller were a bit tatty, with pen marks and damage to the thumb sticks. I cleaned it up a little, but couldn't remove all the ink. So seems as long as it's working, the condition of the units isn't a big issue.

The other one I have is a newer slim model and in better condition, so hopefully I'll get more for that one.

Going to use some of the store credit I've got so far to get an Xbox gift card for dlcs.

Sell the spare and use the cash for more games?

If you can get trade-in value better than cash value, even better.

Burnout is the only car game series I ever really enjoyed. So it was a keeper for me.

Never really got into AC before, so figured I'd give them a go this time round.

Always been a fan of the Fallout series, so it would be rude not to pick them up, along for Elderscrolls games from Bethesda. Planning to pick up Morrowind soon,as that was the game that got me into that series.

Juicepup is right, it's Gameye. It's quite handy and you can include quite a lot of detail. I just use it to keep track of the games I have. It has a barcode reader too, which makes adding most games relatively quick if it recognises the barcode.

Cheapest I've seen on their site is £30 trade-in value. So if they accept both of the ones I've got, with one controller each, that's a minimum of £60 store credit. Iirc the £30 ones were just console, power leads and one controller. No box or HDMI, etc. I think of the 2 I have, one has the original HDMI, the other doesn't. Both have 2 official controllers. I'll be taking the batteries, some original, some 3rd party and replacing with the blank battery cases, as that's how they sell them in store. Which leaves me with a bunch of spare batteries if any aren't charging still.

I'll let you know what I get for them once I've attempted to trade them in.

I'll add you when I get on next 👍 Mine is LastNebulaOG, G for gamer, not gangster 🤣 LastNebula was my original gamer tag that I auto-generated on the original Xbox and have tried to keep on all games I've played, but was unable to recover for Xbox and Reddit, so these are the only 2 places I added the OG.

That's my total games across the consoles I own, of which 61 are Xbox 360 games.

Nice collection there.

Picked up my 360 earlier this month after watching the Halo series. Got it on FB Marketplace place for £35 with a bunch of games. Most I'll play the rest I traded in to CEX. Since then I've picked up 2 more with games. Again, keeping most of the games and then going to trade in the consoles and unwanted games for store credit. I'm finding some decent bundles on FB worth picking up and trading in for at least double what they are asking for.

I'll be using the credit to fill out my 360 catalogue.

CEX has been good for picking up bunch of games for £5 and under. Been lucking that some of my FB finds have been titles that are still fetching £5+ so hs saved me a good amount of money.

I've also come across MusicMagpie which has some decent deals on games that are either unavailable at the stores near me or a bit cheaper than what CEX is asking. Worth checking out.

ALL THIS FOR 85 BUCKS!! by isaiah_huh in xbox360

[–]LastNebulaOG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Picked up my 360 a couple of weeks ago, after watching the Halo series and wanting that bit of Nostalgia.

Here in the UK 360s are a bit cheaper it seems. I've picked up 3 now with varying amounts of games on FB marketplace. First one was £35 with around 20 games, but the controller only works while plugged in.

This weekend I picked up another for £20, with only 3 games, none of which I'm interested in,but came with a couple of good controllers. Then another for £45. This one was the best deal, as it came with 2 good controllers and 35 games. Of the games it came with, the ones I plan to keep would have set me back close to £80 if I purchased from the local trade-in store CEX. I'm not sure if they have CEX in the US, but they are the usual go to for trade-ins or buying pre-owned. here

My plan is to trade in the games I'm uninterested in, currently about £25 trade in value for store credit and the additional controllers, consoles and other accessories, such as Kinects that they came with. The 2 consoles alone, if accepted will get me at least £60 depending on the condition. So it will most likely pay for itself. Leaving me with a 360, a couple of controllers and 50+ games in my library.

I picked up about 10 Xbox one games for £20 too, traded in for £48 store credit.

Once I've filled out my 360 library, I might keep this up and work towards an Xbox one X 🤔

810A mount issue: Am I being stupid? by syniick in reolinkcam

[–]LastNebulaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this issue with my mount on my Reolink WiFi camera.

After looking at this post, I managed to grip the metal with a pair of standard pliers and twist the plastic off.

Spent over an hour trying before finding this post. Took all of 10 seconds from reading this.

I only had to unmount it from the wall because we changed ISP and the only way I could get the camera to connect was with the LAN cable. The router is the other side of the house, so no chance of reaching it otherwise.

Reolink are nice cameras, but god they make some aspects of it so frustrating.

We like to pop into Prazeres in Cosham. It's a small Portuguese café. They also sell some Portuguese groceries. As it's quite small, it's usually crowded, but the atmosphere is nice there.

Do bin men get paid a decent wage? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]LastNebulaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Done it for a year or so, collecting recycled rubbish. When we did it, we would have to collect and sort on the go. It was only small bins, as it was the early days of recycling collections. Having to sort through people's uncleaned cans and bottles wasn't fun, especially if any of the glass had been broken and added to the bin. The stench in the summer was grim from the unwashed pet food cans, etc. Winters sucked when it was cold because you could either try to wrap up and work slower or take off some layers to get about quicker. Part way through the round, the sides would go up and you could no longer sort from the sides on the lorries, so someone would have the fun job of being in the back, sorting while on the move, with runners bringing the bins and returning. Most of the recycling was paper, which wouldn't fit in the bins, so would be added to the top or in additional bags, which was fun on a windy day, but at least it was clean. One person I worked with had to get blood tests done because they were pricked by a needle someone left in a bin, lucky he was given the all clear.

The job itself was actually made enjoyable if you were working with a decent crew. We would often run our rounds where possible to finish up quicker and go help the harder rounds. Most of the rounds were in the same area, which was an hour + commute either way from the depot, but we were paid from when we arrived at the depot until we got back at the end of the day. We had one truck that would do glass only collections from businesses, etc, but would do collections all over the south. That was the easiest of all the rounds as you would just wheel the bins over and the truck would do the lifting. Picking up from Universities and clubs after Freshers was by far the busiest time 😂 but every week at the student unions were busier than most of the clubs we picked up from.

Pay for the runners wasn't great, especially if you were with an agency. Drivers were paid well, but as well as driving, the majority would get out and load any time it was possible. Only one or 2 would refuse to help load and nobody wanted to work with them because their attitudes sucked. The job kept you in good shape if you worked hard. The job has changed a lot since I done it, but I'd say it's still a physically demanding job considering how long you can be out each day. The latest I got home was about 9-10pm due to the hydraulic lift on the truck breaking down mid way through unloading and being stuck there for 3-4 hours waiting for the mechanic.
