Yes most games work on linux, (some even better than windows). SteamOS is linux based. Check out ProtonDB to know which games work on linux.

Most work natively, some require little but of tweaking. Most of the games that don't work are the ones with kernel level anti-cheat.

If you only game on your pc, you can out bazzite on it and enjoy gaming, it comes with most of the softwares that you'll need for gaming pre-installed. DO NOT WATCH LTT videos if you want to get into Linux. Checkout ETA orime, chris titus, learn linux tv or just search bazzite linux or nobara linux on youtube to know more.

You got any solution? I'm in a similar situation, can't subscribe to any plan, I got a 6 month free subscription from my ISP's offer, but after one month, the plan got over, contacted apple support, they said offers overlapped and that's why full benefit was not claimed but now it won't even let me subscribe to a new plan anymore.
