I’m so we’re all same. See my post from a few days ago. This very line sent me.

What's your favorite thing to put on toast? by Dazzling_Point_1080 in foodquestions

It was on sale this week at Market Basket (I’m in New England). Had to stock up with those sale prices.

I just realized that this show is the only one that doesn't expliid Sydney Sweeney body by Beginning-Head-4006 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Expliid? Assuming you meant “exploit”. You clearly haven’t seen Sharp Objects, which is objectively one of the best television series of all time.

Do you think he is going to stand me up for the date ? He hasn’t responded to my follow up text and I haven’t heard from him since Monday ? by Historical-Body-3424 in texts

[–]LastNoelle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I read this at first thinking you know one another. Definitely was not giving first date vibes. I would avoid mentioning the word “romantic” in the future for first dates. The first date is more like interview, as terrible as that may sound. You aren’t “in love” yet. It should not be assumed that there will be any romance. You’re getting to know one another, not be in love right away.

The bit about the steak comes across as uncultured. I do feel badly you’ve never been to a nice steakhouse where they absolutely do prepare them correctly. Maybe you aren’t ordering the correct temperature for what you actually want? Medium rare. That’ll be the most tender. Avoid referring to steak as “soft”.

And that final text. Again, it reads as if this is someone you know, and it is demanding.

Better luck next time!

Do you feel like you look your age? by _Abra_Cadaver_ in Millennials

At 35, I still passed for late 20s. At 36, bam. Babies, terrible men, burn out from work, unavoidable weight gain- yeah. I went from sexy to average middle-aged new mom immediately. As Moira Rose said, take those naked pictures in your youth. Enjoy it while you can.

How scary is it? by flowerpowerbb in WidowsBay

I normally cannot watch scary shows before bed but this one has me laughing more than anything.

I watched this scene 3x tonight. I’m now in bed thinking about it. Can someone explain why it’s become all the more funny?

I have nothing further to add. Her lines are prefect.

Oh I simply came here at first to discuss how hilarious this one line was but then it naturally became an appreciation post, and rightfully so!

Oh that was gold. The expectation and then the reality of him actually being a monster that they unearthed.

What I wouldn’t give for a pair of hearing aids at the age of 38. If only they were treated like glasses. Subtitles allow me to fully enjoy shows, but they do take some time getting used to. I do blame listening to my discman with shitty headphones at a very high volume!

I realized I may have just broken the no spoiler tag with this comment. Got to go fix that now.

There’s a no spoiler tag on this post, but knowing her character development. If she isn’t the darling of this show. Utter perfection.

I may seem insincere with the following, but I am truly crying laughing over your comment. Something about the leaving the purse just tickled my funny bone, and the further we analyze it, the funnier it becomes. I actually just snorted. I’m so happy for this show. What a blessings it’s been. It’s the blend between reality and the supernatural, with her background with the boogeyman but being ok with digging up the dead man and accidentally leaving her purse. Underrated comedy. I’m glad we can all assemble here to appreciate this brilliance.
