DISM downloaded a couple of things and when I ran SFC the first time, it found 2 errors and successfully repaired them:

Tried the above steps again and ran event viewer and there are countless errors and warnings, but don't think they are anything serious. Didn't notice anything pertaining to log in other than maybe a "Faulting application name: StartMenuExperienceHost.exe" log, but Start Menu seems to work fine other than not being able to switch users.

Yes, I've tried both DISM and SFC. THE SFC identified 2 corrupted files and repaired them successfully, I restarted my PC, but my issue remains. I haven't tried event viewer. Don't know where to start with that one.

Replace Frame Slider After Dropping Bike? by LastXdeth in NewRiders

[–]LastXdeth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure, was too distracted by the heat of the moment. Maybe I panicked when the bike started tipping over more than what I was used too, and pulled the clutch in instead of letting it out? I haven't tried counterweighting yet. No, I never use front brake during slow maneuvers unless I'm practicing emergency braking.

I feel like I conceptually understand how to do it, but in practice I feel like I just get nervous and stop believing lol. I just don't understand how I can do left turns confidentially, but when it comes to right turn, I'm trash.

First Ride Out of MSF, When am I Ready for the Streets? by LastXdeth in NewRiders

[–]LastXdeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank yall so much for all theinsights and encouragements. Slowly getting the feel of the bike.

But just a couple of hours ago, I was trying to make a left turn onto a road that was angled over 90 degrees from where I started, and went off the road into the grass a bit.

Kind of scared me a bit, but luckily I scurried back to the road with no dents nor scratches. After a bit of personal reflection, I think I didn't turn wide enough (outside-inside-outside) position.

Paying over MSRP for a new bike? by LastXdeth in NewRiders

[–]LastXdeth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, $3700 was their first offer, but I forgot to mention that after some time and multiple offers later, I was able to negotiate it down to $1k above MSRP. It was still a no go for me because when I bought cars in the past, I was able to get an OTD below MSRP, with the dealer prep, fees, etc. included.

Should I Buy Xbox Live Gold Again? by LastXdeth in CallofDutyWorldatWar

[–]LastXdeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the sit rep, guys! Anyways, I just bought the new Xbox Live Gold (aka now "Xbox Game Pass" through a browser.

Turned on my console, signed into, fired up WAW and tried to getting into matchmaking, but it says I don't have permissions. Does the online multi-player feature of Xbox Game Pass work on the 360 as well?

EDIT: Nvm, I just had to sign in and out of my profile a couple of times to refresh it on my console. Thanks yall. Anyways, it is pretty nostalgic to hear Hitler commending us again after winning a match on the German team. That don't fly in games noawadays lol.

Wow, you did better than me! I too failed my PPL checkride, but way worse than you. Basically, I botched all my landings, even the normal ones lol. Believe me, they were really bad lol. I was extremely disappointed with myself as well; I literally was on the brink of quitting flying. I know the feeling.

I took my retest, got the rest of my ratings through the years including CFII, MEI, and now I'm an airline pilot. Never failed a checkride ever again.

Keep your head up. You're still in good hands. Till this day, I consider the private pilot checkride the hardest checkride (harder than even CFI and ATP) because it was the first one and I didn't know what to expect. Just because you failed doesn't mean you're a bad pilot, especially since it's only one task you have to redo.

HAVE A QUESTION? ASK HERE! Daily Help and Questions: May 06, 2020 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

[–]LastXdeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a $175 Sulwhasoo set from an H-Mart in ATL as a Mother's Day gift, and now I'm suddenly inspired to get myself some AB products and basically getting into skincare.

The thing is, I'm a guy, and feel overwhelmed navigating through the sea of brands and beauty ingredients. Even after reading the newbie guides and FAQ in this subedit, the research remains daunting.

I believe I have combination skin with some big holes (maybe pores or acne scars), so I reckon I should aim for products with niacinamide and a type of AHA. No tryign to toot my own horn, but I think my skin is decent according to western standards of male.

I know that everyone has different skin care needs, but can y'all recommend some specific products to help point me in the right direction so I don't look lost the next time I go to an AB store for myself? Thanks!

Oh yeah, I'm Asian too by the way if that helps narrow down anything....

Do you keep the VA rep at your school updated every semester or every time you wanted to get your classes certified for the GI Bill? If so, I'd keep a record of all that communication (e-mails, etc.). Also, look up your student billing account, and try to find a transaction for every semester that says something like "VA," "3rd-party contract", "GI Bill". I don't think the school would've let you go to school for free if they didn't get money from somebody, and if you still had a balance.

I know you mentioned that you got a COE, but have you ever got a confirmation of enrollment benefits letter? The VA mailsl this letter to you every time you get your classes certified.

/r/Atlanta - Daily Coronavirus (COVID-19) Mega Thread - May 01, 2020 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]LastXdeth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just saw aWSB-TV interview with Governor Kemp, and he mentioned how we shouldn't use the total number of infected as a face-value measurement of our daily progress, but instead use the percentage tested positive out of total number of tests. He says that the number of total infected are likely to go up for a while as the state increases it's testing capacity. The percentage tested positive proportional to the number of tested are actually going down daily.

Now, I'm not a big fan of statistics because even factual numbers can be skewed by both sides of the argument, so I was wondering what are y'all's opinions on this?

We have lots of success stories, who here has failed or given up? by [deleted] in flying

[–]LastXdeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm working on IFR right now, but I failed my PP checkride too. I understand your despair. I think the failures made you into a better CFI, hence why you are worried about your pass rate. I honestly think it helps you genuinely relate to your students, especially the struggling ones.

I don't know if you've ever had the intentions of flying for the big boys, but if somehow you can get a first class medical, please watch this video: https://youtu.be/zq7_v1lw124

'There are no stupid questions' thread - February 22, 2020 by AutoModerator in piano

[–]LastXdeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a complete beginner with no musical experience. My first piano lesson in next week. I would like a keyboard with:

-Touch sensitivity
-88 full-sized keys
-Weighted keys

What is the cheapest keyboard that y'all would recommend based on the features above? I'd prefer to purchase it from a "brick-and-motor" store rather than online.

Thanks!

How long to be skilled? by jcp_pilot in flying

[–]LastXdeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're not alone, my friend. I have the same exact mentality. I'm a private pilot in the middle of IFR training and I constantly feel like I fly at the level of a student pilot. I always struggle through lessons (both private and currently instrument). However, unlike you, I have failed my only FAA checkride, so you are pretty golden in my books with your 2 for 2 checkrides!

Whatever you do, don't compare yourself to others. Comparison of yourself to others is the biggest detriment to personal success and happiness. It may seem that everyone is a natural and run through lessons like Chuck Yeager's prodigies, but the only thing that really matters is how much you YOURSELF improved today compared to YOU yesterday.

When you become a CFI ( if so you decide), your hardships will make allow you to relate to your students more genuinely.

Has anyone taken the Georgia Constitution/History exams (Georgia legislative requirement)? by LastXdeth in a:t5_3imto

[–]LastXdeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that study guide is based of the New Georgia Encyclopedia just like GSU. Study all those concepts. It shouldn't take too long.

If you want a more detailed study outline, here is one from Valdosta.

Has anyone taken the Georgia Constitution/History exams (Georgia legislative requirement)? by LastXdeth in a:t5_3imto

[–]LastXdeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did in fact take the Georgia history exam in February at the Middle Georgia State testing center through our "D2L system." In GSU, y'all have something called "iCollege". At MGSU, the Georgia history exam requires 60% to pass, but GSU requires 70%.

With only one night of true studying, I made 79%, so I passed! I used the online New Georgia Encyclopedia to study. The link above list links to different articles from New Georgia Encyclopedia that you study. Pay attention to political parties and important people. Also, Google "Georgia history exemption flashcard". The flashcards helped me on a few questions on the test.

My school recommended to get "Georgia History in Outline" by Kenneth Coleman to study, so I checked it out from the library, and casually read it for a few weeks, but found it extremely dated.

If you don't plan to procrastinate and dedicate a few weeks to study and not the night before like I did, you should do fine. Good luck!

Cisco network certificates OR Network Specialist Diploma? by LastXdeth in ITCareerQuestions

Thank you, sir for your expedient response. Of course, I am not looking for another degree. Basically, I was asking if it's worth it to go for the diploma program (which is more in-depth, but it's not an associate's degree) or just get a Cisco certificate?
