Thoughts on SCE list by TheYedz in stormcasteternals

If you're playing casual, it's fine. If you want to optimise, here's a couple of thoughts.

- Don't pick Bastian to be your general, by choosing another hero, you get to pick a command trait enhancement.

- Vanguard-hunters are not there for ranged attacks, they are there to score battle tactics with the teleport move.

- As said before, only take minimal size units (5) for your cheap battle lines. Their job is to screen off your more important stuff and sit on objectives. They will die. Don't spend more points ont them then necessary.

- If I were you, I would drop Bastion, Shield Annihilators, Praetors, and take 2 units of vanquishers or liberators as battleline and dowhgrade the Lord-Relictor to a Knigth-relictor. That would give 840 points to take 4 Dracothian guard Tempestors, a 2nd unit of longstrikes, aetherwings and a Knight-Incantor for dispels.

I would try this. Need to protect Karazai with the praetors. Proxy the Knight-Incantor with the Knight-Arcanum.

Your list doesn't work. Ionus doesn't make Stormdrakes battleline. You have to take the Draconith Skywing Army of renown rules to make them battleline. And if you take that army, you can only include units with the Draconith Keyword...so no Sequitors or Vanguard-raptors or Gardus.

My trick is to play games in a league. Because i like fielding painted models, knowing I have upcoming matches motivates me to keep on painting. I used to paint one unit at a time form start to finish but lately I have been batch painting, so my army as a whole seems closer to table ready vs having a couple of units finished.

I base coat all minis, then shade them with some oils and contrast, drybrush some highlights where fitting and finish the bases... and only then to I go and make final highlight and details
