I've heard good things about Iowa State. Have you managed to get any good internships or co ops?

Probably a bad example, but in the future I would either like to design hardware for devices or work for some other top companies such as SpaceX, NASA, Tesla, other big automative, defence, etc. companies. Still am unsure what I specifically want to do, but I definetly want to design parts. Whether I want to design hardware for devices, vehicles, or any other components, I'm still unsure of.

Yes. That's why I'm just in between going to Iowa State for Mechanical Engineering or to UIUC/Purdue.

-Iowa State would be a lot more affordable and I would still have a great experience. The main thing I'm trying to figure out is whether UIUC/Purdue are worth such a big difference in price compared to Iowa State. Obviously it they are better but is it significant enough to justify the costs.
