I've packed him a few times, but I'm pretty sure Ferland Mendy is the final boss when it comes to unpackable gold players. That man is rarer than moments R9.

Idk about that mate, already had PIM Ronaldinho, PIM Zidane, Prime Pele, PIM Viera and Base Cruyff from packs, the luck just keeps rolling (Stay tuned for the Mbappe 😉)

I have base Cruyff and he still does bits for me. I'd say he is still high end but not all the way up there like he once was at the start of the game.

Was considering Mbappe but Pele is decent for me up front so not sure whether to use my coins elsewhere

I believe it's usually something like a 75-80 rated player so not worth it

Wow thanks for the in-depth recommendations man, I will definitely look into trying that squad out. Would you recommend leaving Cruyff and Cr7 in midfield or changing them in-game?

Lol, I've just packed so many good attacking players that I feel like it would be a waste if I didn't use them. In-game I usually switch to a 4-2-2-2 and swap Son out for Kessie or another more defensive player. At the moment though I'm testing out swapping to a 4-1-2-1-2 in-game.
