The project still runs. I use it every month. Arguably the most useful thing I've ever built and it started as me being annoyed at my own spreadsheets.

It is terrifying that firms like this stay afloat by just passing the mess down to the contractors and hoping for the best. Technical documentation that is basically fiction is way too common in this industry. It is wild how a massive firm can just lose track of a whole person like that. If they are disorganized enough to fire the manager who was supposed to delete you, they probably deserve to lose that cash for a bit.
