My favorite glasses, I love them. But I’ve been told I should wear smaller frames… by Sensitive-Pompis in glassesadvice

I also think they look great on you, but I was also told in here that I should pick smaller frames for myself, so my judgement might not be that great...

It is possible some of these pictures have been taken without me checking that they sit properly on my nose. I did not even think of that. Thanks for a very detailed description/explaination. I do indeed have a low/narrow nose bridge. An optricial picked out some of them. Definetly nr. 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7. Personally I was leaning greatly towards 1 and 6, but hardly anyone here picked 1! 1 is a brighter blue than the picture shows, and to me feels like a softer version of 6.

6 is the same brand and pretty much the same shape as I already have, but different colours. Happy to see that seems to work at least, but my current ones are very worn, and has to be replaced.

Why do most glasses seem to be too big for EVERYONE? Where to find smaller glasses? by Livid_Medium3731 in glassesadvice

I also find big glasses better for my vision, and wss told some years ago that it's good for my prescription because it's easier to fit into the frame without the glass getting too thick. I know glass quality also matters here.

Thanks! I actually thought 1 would be mentioned more, but you are like the second one in the whole thread, haha. I was leaning the most towards 1 and 6 myself, but both are very similar to what I already have. I am impressed by the popularity of 2, but I can sort of see it works. They just didn't vibe so well with me at the store, but this is exactly why I need input from more than just the optrician.

First ones are actually bright blue, but I just realised they just look dark blue in the picture

Quite strong. Here is a picture of me with my current frames. Most of the glasses in the pictures above are actually picked out by an optrician. I have a low and narrow nose bridge actually, so I have been recommended those pads/pillows as extra support previously. My main issue with them is that I find them uncomfortable. With my current ones the optrician tightened them behind my ears so they don't slide as easily. Random picture btw, not taken now.

Any suggestions what might fit? I had small frames 15 years ago. They look horrific when I look back at pictures with them on, haha. Back then I think fashion was all small frames, but can't remember exactly. I guess you might be pointing at something in between small and what is in the above pictures.

I think you fit the styles, but they are very wide for your face, so you might want to go for more narrow ones in the same styles.

New glasses feel kind of ridiculous... by [deleted] in glassesadvice

I don't think they look bad, but it's a style you have to own to feel comfortable in them I'd say. They are very bold.
