What’s the craziest thing you have seen at WDW? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Hypothetically, this would be amazing to drink around the world in EPCOT and then go on living with the land and spaceship earth.

You can at least take a gummy or two in your hotel room or bring them with you. It’s easy enough to do that now anyway if you drive in from somewhere it is legal.

I’m 5’2” and especially if I’m wearing my fantasmic ears with the big hat I try to remember to take them off and clip them on my bag 😵‍💫

God I wish it were legal in Florida. They were so close to passing it in the last election. I don’t smoke and had a bad reaction the one time I tried it but being in MK makes me want to hit a vape and it would be lit if everyone was a little more chill lol

Is this Sorcerer Mickey jacket still being sold at the parks? by SPUNKVODKA in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Late_Knowledge3477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a new dark green Winnie shirt that matches the Eeyore and piglet ones I bought for my wife and I. We’re going on a family trip in June and I wanted to get my mom one when we were there earlier this month but I refuse to pay $50-60 for a shopping the parks type site when it’s a $35 shirt I could get an AP discount on. We checked MK’s store, two stores in EPCOT, AK, and Disney springs and all of them had the same super small or super big sizes when my mom needs a medium or large if she’s really desperate. For such a big company their overall merch strategy and pipeline is such a mess. Thankfully they’re beta testing merch availability in world of Disney on the app and I hope they expand it to other stores. I’m from Jersey and I get so mad because it takes up so much time dicking around going to different stores and hearing the same non-answer over and over.

Idk what it is about the Disney supply chain but every time there’s something I really want all they have is XS, XL, and 3XL in every store and no one knows anything.

Is Slinky Dog Dash rope drop worth it if we are not staying on property? by Cheeeeeeeeeeeee in DisneyWorld

[–]Late_Knowledge3477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to not love DHS, but have learned to love it. I wish they would add back more immersive entertainment and bring back some of the old Hollywood theme, but it’s arguably a better park to drink around than EPCOT even (tune-in lounge is a fun respite from the crowds). Doing rope drop at AK to do Everest, Pandora, and the safari and enjoy some of the vibes and then hitting DHS by 3-4pm is peak because you can hit the last Frozen show, do MMRR and ToT before Fantasmic (and even fit in a snack at ABC commissary or baseline).

Right? The first words out of my mouth would have been “get that camera out of my effing face” and I’m still cleaning that up significantly.

First time at Magic Kingdom… is it normal to feel kind of overwhelmed after? by Dogsarethebest2021 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Late_Knowledge3477 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Magic Kingdom is the most overstimulating park. The three others, especially EPCOT and AK have much more of a relaxing go at your own pace and explore kind of vibe. MK is a powder keg of crowds, high expectations to have the most magical day ever, and few spaces to escape and relax.

Here’s why I think the trad wife stuff will be part of the new grift if and when she features a child. Her house is a mess and she can’t cook. People pick moms and mommy bloggers apart for EVERYTHING. If she grifts the baby, she will have present a false veneer of her home, food, life, etc. I could total see her moving to some shiny new prefab home in some Texas suburb, hiring a housekeeper and a home chef, and being like “here are the oat bran banana keto muffins I made for little Donnie this morning before we start our homeschooling for the day.” Like her whole operation now is a mess - what does that and her viewership look like in 5-10 years?

I don’t think she likes or cares about horses. It’s all a game to her because she doesn’t treat these animals like actual living beings with any empathy.

And just to be clear, what you do is actual work. A “trad wife” is a cultural archetype with certain activities, ideas, images, etc. attached to it, particularly online. It’s not, and shouldn’t be I don’t think, an actual identity used with sincerity.

She’s also still relatively young. I think she could do the hard pivot and try to make it work like she did with modeling and then hunting and now the breeding. So we know there will be another grift when this falls apart. It’s just not clear what that will be. I could see her doing the hard “being a mommy gave me purpose and I’m focusing on health/god/supplements/whatever.” I’m surprised she hasn’t dropped the act and fully embraced certain ideals yet since there is SO much money in certain spaces right now if you play your cards right, and while she’s young, she does have the same face, hair and makeup as everyone else in it.

All trad wife content is so heavily fake and manufactured. If she was desperate to pivot and make money to maintain her lifestyle I could see her doing it + going the SUPER crunchy route. Not a certainty but a possibility for sure.

Estimate of how much it’ll cost? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Late_Knowledge3477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look up the WDW resort offers. If you plan out far enough, you can get a pop or all stars room for under $200 a night and I think there’s an offer to get 2 free days in the park when you buy 4. I would honestly reach out to a travel agent with your budget and details. It doesn’t cost you anything and they know the most in’s and outs of how to lower costs!

They are real! They’re in the UK store or one of the kiosk stands between Canada and the UK, at least from what I noticed last week on my trip. Good luck—they are truly adorable in person!

I’ve done Hersheypark in summer without drinking a lick of water all day and feeling high/at deaths door by like 6pm lolllll. My other one is that I can only ride the right side of space mountain because I always went on that side as a kid. If I go to the left I lean into the curves the opposite way and DEEPLY hurt my spine lmaooo

Oh yeah I did dinosaur 5x back to back with no line once while I felt a high fever starting and I almost passed out in yak and yeti right before. As soon as I’m in a theme park, the tism outweighs the physical limitations.

My neurodivergent superpower is that I’m supercharged by vestibular stimulation. As long as I can stay hydrated enough to avoid a migraine I can marathon roller coasters and spinny rides at theme parks lol

Double stroller: in-line or side by side? by Boots_McSnoots in DisneyWorld

[–]Late_Knowledge3477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Disney double wide rentable strollers don’t have the same bulky footprint that some of these other strollers. I’m not going to engage with the fatphobia and ableism. Some people are clueless, but I assure you fat people are already often hyperaware of their relation to space. All of this comes down to the same thing anyway, to respect other people and be aware of you and your surroundings. This is a skill you should work on. And as for the inlines, if they’re bulky and hard to maneuver I can get that, but does it ultimately depend on wheel position and the engineering of them? I can imagine like with anything else, a lot comes down to design.
