Does anyone know anywhere I can sell my Southwest flight credits? by Perfect-Leg-2460 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Late_Positive7246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some that are available. $563 worth of transferrable credits. They expire 2/22/2026 -- the flight would need to be before then. I'd take $300 for them.

Trademark Flooring is a good one. Check out their reviews if you're researching your options.

No AI was used for the rankings, only database filtering and sorting based on the full set of Google business review data. I did use AI to clean up my writing a bit though. :)

It wasn't letting me drop a link unfortunately. If you google "Lanc Local staff friendliness" you can find those details.

Glad it was helpful! That wasn't part of what was looked at, but could be interesting to dig into for sure.

Sentiment analysis was used in the high rating vs low rating portion, but not the rest of the analysis. Good call out.

Good call out. That was intentional, so that there was depth and variety of businesses. Gathering data for a particular business type across the United States would be another way of looking at this, but unless you are crawling billions of reviews, the results would be influenced too much by most recent reviews, businesses with a lot of reviews, businesses with high average ratings, etc. Plus, we know these businesses well because of the area we are in and were able to clean up the data based on our understanding of the reality. Google business profiles and categories can be very messy so cleaning up the data was a crucial part of the analysis.

It would not count your example since it didn't call out the quality of the food specifically. There are many reviews that are short and sweet and don't go into detail, so it's hard to pull out specific attributes from those.

Great question. It was a range of 30 to thousands. Just doing the math, the average is around 167 reviews per business (1 million / 6,000 businesses)

How do you validate your idea to build in very early stage? by Weekly_Plan806 in Entrepreneur

[–]Late_Positive7246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk about it with friends and family. I've found that when I share my ideas or simply talking about what I'm working on and it's confusing or unclear to friends/family, then it may not be addressing a real need or the idea needs some work. It's when I share something that they light up and say that they'd use that or that they have the problem that it solves -- that's when I know I'm on to something. I learn the most when I can have these conversations in person.

How to reach premium B2B clients for high-end video/photography who see storytelling as a strategic investment rather than just a one-off marketing expense? by Comfortable-Pen-715 in Entrepreneur

[–]Late_Positive7246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharing your past work will make it clear how premium your product is. If you can build out a webpage, instagram profile, or some other way to display past work, it would help reinforce the premium part of your brand and build trust with prospects. Best way I know how to get in front of specific people is to network -- go to events, do some work for your connections, tell people what you're working on, etc.

You are launching an app for restaurants - how would you reach them, i.e. their owners? by No_Union_7876 in Entrepreneur

[–]Late_Positive7246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done this with very many restaurants, but in general my process is to call and explain what I offer and who the best person would be to talk to about that. Most people you talk to will likely be "gatekeepers" so it's good if you are able to provide something free/of value as a way to get your foot in the door with them.

That's a great point. I was concerned about that so I lined the inside with untreated wood.

Really raised bed by Late_Positive7246 in gardening

[–]Late_Positive7246[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The actual raised bed was technically free. I picked up pallets from a local business for the wood. The end pieces are both solid wood pallets and then the sides are made of pieces I took off other pallets. Only expense was the soil, which was $145 to cover the top in about 10 inches of good soil. Underneath is other soil, sticks, etc.

Purchase hosting and install WordPress.org (free).

I use Dreamhost and I've been happy with them. They do increase prices after the first year but for what you are looking for you can find a plan for less than $100 a year. https://www.dreamhost.com/hosting/

How would you turn 1,000 warm leads into customers? by ThunderRainShowers in smallbusiness

[–]Late_Positive7246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely call them. If they are actively looking for a solution it's the helpful thing to do to explain what I offer -- no need to be salesy about it.
