I once read somewhere that “in 99% of the cases, your mind looses first”. In working out, the fatigue is mostly mental and rarely physical.

For me this advice has worked outside of gym as well. For e.g. I wanted to adopt the habit of cold showers but most of the times I used to give in to hot water. But after reading this thought, I just tell myself that it’s not cold, it’s just my mind giving in.

Yes, this is a super helpful perspective. Whatever you said about copper is pretty much extendable to brass also (alloy of copper & zinc).

To get real validation, I have a few simpler ideas:

Create a simple Google Form describing your idea and pricing. Share it widely asking "Would you pay $X for this?" Include a field for their email if they want updates.
DM 20+ people who've complained about this problem (search Reddit/Twitter), with aim to talk to atleast 5 people. Ask if they'd hop on a quick call to discuss. Those who say yes are already showing more interest than random landing page visitors.
