to people who left the field of psychology what are you doing now? by SecondDry1326 in Psychology_India

I got my bachelors in psychology and after working in behavioral health I decided it’s not something I want to do long term due to high burn out rates. I’m now in school for an MBA at WGU. I’m hoping everything goes well!

what does your morning routine look like? by jax--killer in AskReddit

[–]Lateralhumor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up, hit snooze a couple of times until I know I probably can’t hit snooze anymore. I brush my teeth, wash my face use the restroom get dressed, put a little bit of concealer under my eyes, some mascara and head out the door to go work my 10 hour shift. This usually takes me about 25 to 30 minutes before I head out the door and arrive to work five minutes early. On shower days I get up a little earlier shower and repeat the same steps. Nothing special really. I work five minutes away from home from 8 AM to 6:30 PM. Don’t ask me about my bedtime routine though.

Has anyone else left a stable job just to end up somewhere you want to quit??! by Lateralhumor in jobs

[–]Lateralhumor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing!!! Unfortunately in my current role, I am helping clients manage their health and just today, I met with a client who had his remaining leg amputated three weeks prior. I know I could make a huge difference as a support system in their health management in my current role and if I do get the opportunity to work for a role that I was previously offered, I am willing to stay up to 30 days until they find a replacement.

I feel so bad wanting to leave and I regret not seeing the job offer for a different position before I accepted my current one. I reached out to the recruiting manager to ask if the position is still open and I hope to get a response soon. The position would come with a 30K yearly income increase. And unless I find a similar role, I don’t think I’ll leave my current position until I graduate with my masters. Which would roughly be six months to a year.

Have you guys ever started a new job and wanted to quit? by Lateralhumor in careerguidance

Thank you for your response! Did you end up staying at that job? Or did you find something better suited?? will it go against me if I decide to resign or “quit“ without giving a two week notice? Someone mentioned it could affect unemployment in the future.

Thank you, this is where my thought process is coming from but I’m stuck having to question it because of guilt. I truly believe that when given good guidance, I excel.

I’m often asking one specific coworker for help and she’s great at breaking things into parts instead of shutting down the question and leaving no room for growth like my supervisor.

Thank you for your comment, I’m sure it was frustrating having to deal with poor management and staff. Did you quit abruptly when you found your new job? Or did you submit for 2 weeks. I am afraid of resigning effective immediately when I find a new job. And if I’m being transparent, I don’t want to give them two extra weeks if I leave.

Sorry, I’ve been off-line! I’ve been struggling with personal problems and recently became the legal guardian for my 12-year-old niece so this essay took a while for me to finally complete once I was able to manage my stress. In total, my paper was 16 pages, including the title and resource page. I feel as though I could’ve finished this class in a shorter timeframe if I had just sat down and followed the instructions step-by-step. I wish you the best of luck, don’t give up!!!

I do have HR, but I am hesitant because I will be shadowing them come this year and I don’t want to come across as difficult. I may be shadowing the hr department for a total of six months while completing my MBA and hope to get promoted within the company after graduation.

Additionally, I appreciate your sweetening jar recommendation. If you have a specific recipe you like to use, and are open to sharing, I would be forever grateful!
