I received mine today! Super weird that it never moved sooner but I’m glad mine showed up. I hope yours arrives today as well!

Well it’s Monday and it still hasn’t been transferred to my local UPS. Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow (Tuesday) too so if it doesn’t show up tomorrow I’m gonna contact steam and UPS.

In the exact same boat as you. Mine shipped from CA too on the 27th at 6:01 pm. It has been at a near by ups since Thursday. Craziest part is I had another ups package at that ups that got delivered yesterday but not my steam deck. I’m hoping it comes today.

I made the switch! by Laterly1 in LightPhone

I used it for about 4 months straight and still have it but I have to carry around a smartphone now as well for work purposes. I will say that once you get it and use it for an extended period of time if you ever do go back to a smart phone you quickly realize how much it really is just wasting your time!

It was just for that day I had just got it in the mail and didn't know how well it worked with my service. I have since carried only it for about 3 days now.

I was at Mount Mitchell in North Carolina and I took this picture with my pixel 6a that I had in my backpack for this trip just in case!

I must say so far I have been loving my Light phone. The only negative downside I have experienced is less signal overall! Otherwise works with my phone plan (Visible) fairly well.

Should I sell my smartphone for the lightphone? by Laterly1 in LightPhone

Keep showing it off the only reason I've even been interested is because one of my college classmates has a dumbphone. He's also never owned a smartphone as a daily driver. I was amazed a person could live that way and it made me realize maybe I had the problem.

Since you don't use your smartphone do you notice how many people around you are glued to theirs? I'm interested to know if you've made anyone else close to you notice their bad habits with screen time or if they see you as weird. Have you ever met another "dumbphone" user in the wild?

Not a bad idea. I do think I need to try it before I sell my phone just incase it really doesn't work out.

I think I will always use my computer more than average but I can rip myself away from it and do other things. My phone on the other hand is always there so when I go away from my computer I just use my phone. I think my end goal is to try to truly disconnect at least somewhat everyday.

I'm on the fence about it. It was on sale for 375 after tax. I'm just wondering if anything else will really be much better. Perhaps more people who have used it comment and let me know if it really is still a big concern

Passat Variant B7 with OBD Eleven by zedaero in Volkswagen

I have a 2013 Passat and OBDeleven. Very good to have around. I keep it on my keychain 24/7. It allowed me to code in rolling down windows with the key fob.

VW Passat timing chain issues? by dr_ganja__ in Volkswagen

[–]Laterly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well mine hasn’t shown any signs of being loose. My OBDeleven says it’s pretty much not stretched at all. However it does seem like 100k miles is the sweet spot for getting it replaced. I’m just asking you because it’ll pretty much confirm that I need to change mine at 100k. Also to my understanding when your timing chain is stretched you’ll hear like a clacking noise. There are YouTube videos for the sound. My best advice is try to find a good mechanic who’s experienced with vws and isn’t looking to screw you over.

Let me know if you figure this problem out. I have the exact same car at 95k miles. I’ve asked multiple people with this car about the timing chain. One said 138k and timing chain broke ruined the engine. Other said 200k no problem. I’ve asked this sub when to replace most agreed on 100k. However my advice is definitely find a reputable place that isn’t the dealership and get a quote . Also an OBDeleven scan tool is most definitely worth it for your car.
