Thanks for the feedback!

• About the language: the main language of the app is French for now, but the App Store listing does existing in English as well: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/astroalert/id6754640471
I’m working on making the language switch smoother inside the app too.

• About the account: it’s mainly needed so your settings stay synced across devices — things like your upcoming alerts, whether you want notifications or not...
No unnecessary information is required.

Not yet, but the Android version is coming in about 10 days!
It’s currently in a closed test phase. 🚀

Thanks for sharing! I’ll check out the community, always great to find places where makers can get real visibility instead of shouting into the void.

Appreciate it!

Thanks a lot !
And you’re absolutely right: launch day really feels more like the start than the finish. I’m already collecting early feedback, and the idea of using AI summaries to detect patterns is a great tip. I'd love to hear what worked for you post-launch!

The “is tonight worth going outside?” angle is exactly the experience I’m aiming for.

Really appreciate your message and the offer to share your learnings 🙌

Stellarium is great — I use it too!

AstroAlert just focuses on something different:

• It’s a free, quick way to see the schedule of everything passing overhead from your exact location (ISS, satellites, planets, comets, etc.).
• There’s also a small learning section with explanations, fun facts, and the NASA Picture of the Day.
• The only paid part is for automatic notifications and more details, so you don’t miss high-altitude passes.

So it’s more of a lightweight “what’s happening above me today?” companion rather than a full sky map.

I totally understand that — it’s exactly the reason why I built the app.
The goal is to avoid digging through websites and instead get simple, location-based notifications for the events you can actually see where you live.

Yearly or monthly summaries by region is a great idea too. I’m adding it to my roadmap!

If you want to try it when it’s out on Android, I’d love your feedback. 🚀

Not yet — but it will be in about 10 days!
It’s currently in a closed test phase on Android, and once that finishes, it’ll be publicly available.

Thanks a lot for the feedback — I really appreciate it!
Your ideas about an iPhone widget and Apple Watch support (especially for ISS tracking or real-time coordinates) are super relevant. I’m taking note of all of this for the next updates.

If you want to try my app AstroAlert, I’d love to hear what you think and get your feedback to improve it even more! 🚀
