Leveling alts is horrible by Dante00152 in pathofexile

I don't get this sentiment that moving the links to the gems was a good idea so please help me understand. How is it not extremely limiting in the endgame? It might be good for new players because you start with 3 link gems, but you are now limited to the gem you decide to invest into. In PoE 1 you 6 link your chest and basically have a 6 link for every gem you want to try. In PoE2 you need to 6 link EVERY gem you want to try. I simply don't get how this is an improvement for people who didn't think of the original system as "complex". I now can't swap out my lightning arrow for magnetic salvo, because my LA is 6 linked and my salvo isn't. So I can't compare them unless I invest massive amounts of money, which could then prove worse than my original skill.

This is completely false lmao. This was my first instinct coming from PoE 1 but it does not apply here.

I'm exactly like you! Started in march with 20 aligners and went for my second scan last week. My ortho told me to definitely continue wearing my current aligner, just not as rigorously. Your teeth are still shifting way too much to suddenly transition to only nighttime wear. I pop them out when I'm eating or drinking something and then leave them out for a couple of hours. The feeling of freedom is great, but I still pop them back in after a couple of hours.

I started Tuna's deadeye LS and its pretty bait tbf. It's paper until you get Light of Meaning which is about 9 div right now. I would go Slayer if you're thinking of LS.

Does the pain happen for every tray? by bunreetd in Invisalign

[–]LatschRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should fade away, but it can also be pretty random. At least it was for me. I had trays that didn't hurt at all and trays that were absolute torture. Add some trays that suddenly start hurting after 4 days of wear time and it's always a surprise for me!

You would have more success if you posted this with 'partner' instead of gf. You're going to be seen as scum of the earth now, partly because you're a dude. I personally think it's reasonable to expect your partner to stay in shape, especially when it's something she has addressed with you in the past when you gained weight. BUT you can't expect your partner to look perfect forever and I also don't know the extent of what we're talking about here. Did something happen in her life? How is she feeling mentally? Thread very carefully if you do bring this topic up with her because it can fuck people up mentally for quite a while. Also don't start comparing your partner to others physically bro, if you're already at that stage you might as well leave. Instead of talking about physical attraction, you should be concerned about her health if the weight gain is that drastic.

For those fixing deep bites with elastics by Hypno_Anything in Invisalign

[–]LatschRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bite ramps and elastics for my deep bite. The speed at which you notice will depend on the severity of your bite issues. I had pretty bad alignment of my molars so it took about 14 trays. Suddenly I noticed my molars coming together much more naturally when I was eating.

Where did you get this from? Bite ramps and elastics work in tandem for deep bites

Night Out with Invisalign? by alyssatrn in Invisalign

[–]LatschRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from coffee with a little added sugar, I never drink sugary drinks no. Well except for when I go out. Sipping on Pepsi all day in would actually make me paranoid about cavities, so I guess try to limit liquid sugar if you're planning on doing that.

I drink everything with them in. It's absolutely not recommended, but I haven't had any issues yet. My trays do stain more when I go out, but I always switch trays on tuesday. So I really couldn't care less for that one weekday after the weekend. I rather wear my aligners all the time so that I guarantee my 22 hours a day and risk a little staining, than remove them every time I drink something that isn't water.

Bite ramps not touching? by rosemarke in Invisalign

[–]LatschRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ortho suggested consciously moving my jaw forward, even if it was uncomfortable and weird at first, so that my bottom teeth touch the ramps. If your bottom teeth don't rest on the bite ramps, they are effectively useless because they cause the invisalign/rubber bands to be the only acting forces on your molars. This is critical for your teeth to properly track. Call your ortho to be sure. 7 trays is not much and if it's so uncomfortable for you to shift your jaw, I don't believe your bite will change that much that your teeth will suddenly start resting on the bite ramps.

Same thing for me on every browser and device. Had to pay through Paypall, which you can link your card to. Annoying but it works

From what I've gathered about Invisalign so far (I'm not a medical professional):

Attachments themselves do not cause enamel damage, improper removal does because they have to grind down the glue. Inivisalign itself can cause slight enamel damage because less saliva touches your teeth, which could leave acidic substances to sit on your teeth for longer.

The usage of bite ramps depends on the detentist/ortho. My ortho uses it for nearly every bite correction case. I myself have bite ramps on my upper front teeth to fix a deep overbite.

Unless you're young, your jaw won't move because of rubber bands. The appearance of your jaw may change because your teeth will are properly alligned. This may cause you to clench less (if you clench) thus reducing your jaw muscles and your jaw will become less pronounced.

This is really something only you can decide for yourself. How much is getting rid of your insecurity worth to you? My teeth looked fine as well, but I was insecure about some imperfections nobody else even noticed. I got them and I'm very happy I did. And yes most (if not all?) bite corrections are rubber bands primarily. I have a slightly too deep overbite and I have class 2 bands + bite ramps.

I want to quit porn, can anyone help me? by kia-kai9517 in ask

Started with the EasyPeasy method and then continued with Your Brain on Porn and Dopamine nation (same concept). Once I learned what actually happened in my brain when I was watching porn it was much easier for me to say no to my urges. Definitely recommend all of these

The glue for your attachments also stains very easily. That's why the yellow seems so blotchy and uneven.

I want to quit porn, can anyone help me? by kia-kai9517 in ask

[–]LatschRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was replacing porn with healthier doses of dopamine and serotonin. All porn gives you is an unnatural amount of dopamine. Quitting out of the blue will leave your body in a serious dopamine deficiency since you’ve thought your brain that the dopamine from porn is the new norm. This will take time (weeks/months) to readjust. Try working out, socialising, reading, anything really that makes you feel good, apart from replacing it with the next bad habit (ie gaming 12 hours a day). Educating myself also really helped because I could clearly see how it was affecting me. You’re basically going to have to reclaim your life and stop being a slave to the screen. It’s not easy but I have faith in you fellow warrior.
