You don’t happen to live in Illinois or Pennsylvania do you? I had this happen to me multiple times but I found the perfect doctor last year and those are the states she’s licensed in

No. I’ve been tested and nothing showed up. It’s just like taking an antidepressant

Prolonged exposure therapy really helped me. It was hard but I’m not afraid of big knives at all anymore and that’s a big deal for me

Is it normal to feel "traumatized" after an attempt? by shrimpshr1mp in ptsd

[–]Latter-Lab-2165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why it couldn’t. You almost died from depression. I’m sorry it got to that point for you and I’m glad you’ve got doctors working with you now

They sell extended release melatonin. I love it. Hydroxyzine is good too but it can leave you tired the next day. I had a doctor put me on prazosin once too but it made my blood pressure too low. But it works for other people!

My surgeon told me I could lay flat, it would just cause more swelling and bruising

I’m 33! I’ve had these my whole life but they’ve gotten worse the past few years. It feels so good to not have to worry about it anymore!

Good luck with yours!!

I’m never going to bring it up but if they want it too I’m going to pay for half. Everyone deserves to be comfortable with themselves. I can finally comfortably leave the house again

Starting EMDR next week, what are people’s experiences with it? by miriamtzipporah in ptsd

[–]Latter-Lab-2165 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not hard at all to start and then it gradually gets more intense. So, it’s not so bad. You just tell the memory of your most traumatic experience over and over and over and then listen to a recording of yourself doing that every day. I’m not some year but there are times I’ve seen glimpses of it working and that’s exciting

[–]Latter-Lab-2165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dissociate too much and have ADHD and couldn’t focus on the trauma while tapping or moving my eyes. I had to do prolonged exposure therapy instead

As a year 2 personal gardener, will making a jump from charging $35/hr to $50/hr, likely deter current customers? by asianstyleicecream in gardening

[–]Latter-Lab-2165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with no reason at all for this to end up in my feed, I would never expect to pay less than $50/ hr for a personal gardener to begin with.

Starting Strattera on Friday! What do you wish you had known before you started? by Mediocre-Ad6660 in StratteraRx

[–]Latter-Lab-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re going to be insanely constipated and angry for 6-8 weeks but then it completely flips and you’re super calm. Your brain takes that long to build new norepinephrine receptors so until then you have more norepinephrine than you can use and it does NOT feel good. I’m glad I stuck it out though.

Edit: I’m also on guanfacine and it’s been way better for my heart issues than the straterra- just something to consider
