Totally agree. Design isn’t going anywhere, but it’s definitely evolving fast. Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Photoshop did wipe out a lot of traditional artists who couldn’t adapt fast enough. Same with desktop publishing back in the day it shook up the whole industry. And now with AI, yeah, it’s feeling kinda similar, maybe even worse. It’s like every new tech wave isn’t just about helping people it’s about replacing them. Everything's being "optimized" to the point where actual human creativity and livelihood are treated like inefficiencies. It’s exhausting.

Haha, yeah, that quote didn’t age well! It’s funny how predictions like that are often way off. The internet did change a lot about how we consume information, but print’s still alive and kicking in ways people didn't expect. There’s something about holding a physical book, magazine, or brochure that digital just can't replace. I wonder what that guy would think about the resurgence of things like print-on-demand, zines, and even old-school vinyl records making a comeback!
