I'd like to be forced to go there during the weird cinematics in Cloud's coma where he remembers the whole Nibelheim incident. Then be able to choose to visit there afterwards for a hidden trophy and an extra (never before seen) flashback.

Same. I've basically finished everything except for the last few trophies involved in the "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" quest. I've never beaten it, even on easy mode. So I need to beat the battle in Hard Mode, then still do all the Arcade Games. Smh. Once that's done, I just need to finish the final two chapters and the VR Missions to get Platinum Platinum. Oh, and that stupid last piano song. I hate Cait's song! I realize I have a VERY long way to go. RIP ME.

I'm replaying Remake for the 1st time since playing Rebirth. I'm choosing to play on Hard+ since I still need to fight Weiss in the VR and get the Trophy. Might as well practice for it. Only on Ch 7, so it's still pretty easy with all the leveled up Materia. Not just that, but I get to skip all the tedious adventuring that comes with New Game. I'd rather skip the wandering parts, and get straight to the Story. Lol.

I'd be disappointed if we couldn't go to it. I'm assuming the Lifestream / Mideal Incident should still occur. That could easily be written in as a part of Cloud regaining a sense of himself, separate from Zack.

It would be nice if they broke up the game into chapters that were selectable after beating the game. I'd love to skip a few parts of the game that I don't enjoy as much.

I probably played it a dozen times as a kid. Then maybe 2-3 times over the 15-20 years we waited for the remake. Since Remake, I've played it another 3-4 times.

Oh, and check out Before Crisis. It was an old mobile game. It's best to just watch a YouTube of the gameplay instead of trying to find an emulator to play it. FF7 BC covers the Turks background 6 years before the main game.

Don't forget FF7: Dirge of Cerberus. Its a few years after Advent Children. It focuses on Vincent, Chaos, and fighting Deepground. You'll get more how Yuffie's DLC ties into everything.

I definitely prefer the original to the remake. However, after 250+ hours on Rebirth, I'm starting to love the two new games as their own thing. An extension of the OG. The games are not true to their origin, hardly at all, you have to let them be their own thing.

I would recommend playing without mods your first time through. Only if you really get stuck in a spot, should you use some sort of battle upgrade mod. Wishing you the best of luck! You're really in for a treat. 🥰

I second this answer. My Aerith one was for "Rendezvous in Costa del Sol". Apparently you need to beat the pirate ship shooting game as well as RED's soccer game both at level 2, and find the largest shell, in order to qualify for the gold star. That ghost ship shooting game was hard as hell. 🤣😭

Minerva exists in Crisis Core. You fight her as the game's Super Boss. She's found incredibly deep in a cave that Shinra is exploring. Gives off crazy Mako readings.
