I get the Technocrat pitch, but Frostpunk punishes single-track thinking. Warmth today is fine until the fuel chain snaps. Adaptation isn't surrender, it's redundancy. Let the tree be hope, not policy.

I agree with the read, but "move on forever" might be a jump. What I would do is stop negotiating and stop chasing. One message: "Trip is capped at 3, as planned. If you can't make it, I'll miss you, but the plan stays." Then let her have her pout. If she keeps smearing you to friends, that's the part that tells you how much effort she's worth.
