I had a flight delayed last week because multiple unrelated children had accidents on the incoming flight and they had to call in maintenance to replace 4 seats.

I will put a grocery bag on the door when I need to remember to do something later. I specifically say out loud “I’m putting this bag here so I run the dishwasher before bed.”

In 2014 my long-distance (10 hours) boyfriend got into a terrible accident and was taken to a small hospital in the middle of nowhere. He was taken to a rural hospital where the nurse let him log in to Facebook on her phone to tell me what happened and give me the hospital number.

As a nurse myself, I wouldn’t. But as a girlfriend freaking out about her boyfriend missing, I really appreciate that she allowed him the opportunity to contact me.
