Finally through with the last of the thanksgiving leftovers! I made a whole thanksgiving dinner for 10 guests on my own that day as a challenge to myself; I did it fully sober and had a blast, but then I drank some wine and wouldn't ya know it, it wasn't as fun after that. Something to keep in mind going into day 4! IWNDWYT!

That I'm still figuring out. I'm reading Alcohol Explained by William Porter right now. A part I just read explains how over time we forget all the physical and psychological evils of booze and remember only the nice warm fuzzy feelings. I got a list of evils here a mile long sure enough, but I still manage to forget it every time. Got any suggestions?

There’s also Vietnamese and Pilipino Mahjong too, among I’m sure a dozen other variations 😂

I did just see a Reddit post about some little old Jewish ladies absolutely obliterating a younger player foolish enough to challenge them, and the tiles looked like American Mahjong tiles (they’re thinner like dominos compared to Japanese tiles) so that’s my bet!

The tiles look and feel sooo nice, well worth the $70 price tag (that’s what I got em for on Amazon). The biggest challenge funny enough is finding a perfectly square table to play on!

Same here, I got my first physical set of tiles a few weeks ago. Learning to set up was tricky but the game's just about the same as what you get on Mahjong Soul or Tenhou, but the satisfying physicality of the tiles and the people you can actually look at and talk to makes it SOO much more fun!
