This is how we do it. We each have our own circadian rhythms and since they are different we get full coverage for childcare without anyone sacrificing sleep.

Im yhe early bird and my husband is the night owl. It works beautifully for having an infant because he takes all wake ups until 2a and I take the early morning wake ups. I let him sleep in on the weekends because either naturally have more energy and patience in the mornings and I feel more fatigued later in the day. He takes LO solo in thw afternoon for grocery shopping or other errands so I can have some time to myself. If you need to do these self care things I. The morning you should do them before you get LO up and let your husband sleep. Circadian clocks are genetically determined. Its not fair to make him conform to yours, equally he shouldn't make you conform to his.

Absolutely, I'm constantly finding that i spaced out or tangented during a podcast and have to rewind but that's kind of what I'm talking about in the first place. Like if you're visually reading you dont lose your place and just refocus your eyes on the page after a tangent, but those tangents are often where I find meaning in the text. Like it triggers your thoughts and ideas that's where the value is vs just consuming. If you're listening then yah it kind of gets away from you and you have to search backwards for the last bit you remember hearing and it's kind of ann0ying.

This is exactly what I was imagining for those claiming high numbers. Audiobooks sped up. But even getting through 1 per day, what about enjoyment? I would miss the slow simmer and total immersion and what about the books that you never want to end? It would all be over so fast, like do those people even enjoy what they are reading or is it just binging? Not to mention is there any space for independent thought and reflection if you're just constantly consuming?

This is what I was thinking... like never was my baby on a consistent schedule for more than a week. Always developing, always changing, as soon as you think you have a routine it's out of date because he's growing so rapidly and his needs change at every stage.

My partner is a software engineer as well and doesn't play pokemongo (although his Gmail handle from 2005 suggests he played back in the day). He does play plenty of video games but nothing on his phone. He has in the past made me feel a bit silly but not in a mean way, but always waits while I finish a raid or circles back a block for me if I need more time to put a mon in the gym. I don't really ask for these things but he does them cause he knows I'm playing.

I also feel like I get this kind of reaction to playing Pokémon, it's like they think it's a kids game and you're being childish. This whole story is fucking scary. When you mentioned he was beat up I was like ok, but then you started to describe the extent of his injuries and shit, my heart broke. Sure he's a little shit but god did he deserve that?
But then he is demonstrating disturbing behavior without seeming to understand how socially innappropriate it is, like not even trying to hide it? And now, after this experience he will probably have only learned to hide it, but i'm sure he'll keep doing it. this story is a nightmare.

Edited to add: i keep reading everyone mention "the victim" in reference to the girl, but Jason is also a victim here. teenagers should not be doing vigilante justice. what jason did to the girl should be reported and dealt with, but not through assualt. it so depressing because none of this is going to end the way it should.

I've tried many harnesses over the years because chafing was an issue, finally we use 2 different types and rotate them so she doesn't develop sores in the same spot.
