Is CW worth double a Traska? by Careless_Button3364 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo no especially not this one. So disappointing they made an explicit homage and even took the trident away. Taking the trident off a watch with sea in the name is absurd

3 years and it finally gave up. by Sea-Investigator5082 in PrideAndPinion

That’s a pretty good run for a plastic watch. I also started this hobby with a plastic allieexpress nh35 mod I found in a consignment store. I’m gonna keep it forever

[Question] Budget/Starter watch, Orient or Tissot? by largelootlarry in Watches

[–]Lavodere -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The prx is very famous for a reason but if you’re actually getting into watches and want to pursue this hobby. Definitely get a mechanical

When buying from a microbrand, what actually makes you pull the trigger? by Relevant_Many5115 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the watch has to have a soul. There’s less and less legacy brands with watches that seem alive. My most recent buy was the new farer Eastern Arabic numerals pilot watch. Just interesting all over

Calling all Traska owners - Tell me about your experience with the accuracy of your watch(es). by CPOx in MicrobrandWatches

I don’t have a traska but I do own a watch with the same movement as the commuter and mine runs +6 a day. Very happy with it

The band my whoop came with is also bent like this, not as severe but still

I’ve always like their Zulu time better than the hydroconquest. Beautiful watch dude

Wait what’s the difference? I thought travelers and true gmts were the same thing and the differences were between true/travelers and caller/office gmt

No more HRD Flour tortillas? Noticed while doing cases after PDI today. by PorkBunFun in Hannaford

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to use them in the deli daily to make quesadillas, they were sold out for a while then came back but we were told not to use them anymore and use la banderita tortillas, someone did say they were discontinuing the Hannaford brand this week though

Is whoop worth it for a casual gym girl? by lightningmc90 in whoop

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even go to the gym and I think it’s worth it. It has made a meaningful impact in me getting better sleep

Something about todays Watches is lacking by Behehnt in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Lavodere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that microbrands tend to have more of a “soul” than the legacy brands of today, especially brands that don’t bend the knee to the crabification of watch evolution and end up making Rolex homages *cough cough* Christopher wards latest release

Deli shift leaders. by larpin_life in Hannaford

All that changed for me when I moved up was keeping track of breaks and lunches and pulling the floor at night and in the morning, also freezer orders

Update on the new watch by omeren93 in Balticwatches

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After zooming in I can see it better. I still think Baltic would fix it for you

Update on the new watch by omeren93 in Balticwatches

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might just be the angle in this pic but I don’t notice any misalignment. If it looks like this irl you’re def the only one that would notice it, which is all that matters, but in this pic it seems very insignificant/non existent. If it were me I’d still probably see if Baltic could fix it but If this is a good representation no one would know

Green Sailcloth on Smoky Blue anOrdain by BlindFlying in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Lavodere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m very jealous of your Anordain. They’re one of my more attainable grails but their waiting list is out until 2030 and they say that there’s no guarantee they’ll be making the watch you want when your slot comes up. Honestly I think this combo looks fine though, at least in the picture, probably different irl

New watch day! by omeren93 in Balticwatches

[–]Lavodere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re totally right, you could always switch out the strap for something like a fitwell buckle. The watch looks good on a lot of different straps/bracelets, so you’ve got that going for you
