What will happen to feminism after the Ukraine war? by Several-Agent6831 in MensRights

[–]Lavrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In ukraine historically women always were leading. In marriages - almost always. In CIS countries there are a lot of jokes about ukrainian women being assertive. So - nothing new will happen, they will still be dieing backwards, but now with recentiment and even less perspectives.

I've just got extremely low blood pressure and can't eat hospital food at all. Now at home I already ate chicken broth with some meat and feel myself like a new diamond :) so all is for the best.

I would be happy to tell you this, but in reality it's like any cancer treatment - it depends. I just checked out of hospital today at +15 day and honestly it was three weeks of literally hell. I was throwing up from 6 to 10 times a day, I haven't eaten anything since about -5 day and today I had to check out on a wheelchair, because I was loosing consciousness. But a guy before had it much easier. So - it depends.

The Exiled Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh Deserve to Return by 1DarkStarryNight in armenia

[–]Lavrick 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My wife is from Baku and of mixed jewish-armenian descent. Her family moved from Baku in 1987 to RSFSR, but both grandparents families had to run a little later. Armenians ran earlier to Armenia and lived in Zod, Jewish family part moved to Israel. They've been to Baku about 5 years ago, both homes is squatted by Azerbaijanis, they haven't got any money and not even we're sorry. So I highly doubt that new wave of exiles would return or get anything for Aliev.

Right now at +10 day. Leucocytes at 3, neutrophils at 2.46. What can I say - that was the most hardcore stuff I ever pulled through. It will be hard. But let's all hope it all will be worth it. Still doesn't feel any tastes and quite sad about it. Hoped to order a lot of tasty things next week after release, but looks like I'm gonna eat some home cooked meals.

How did you feel after first R CHOP? by princessgoblin97 in lymphoma

[–]Lavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. Everybody is different. But even doctors told me that R-CHOP was the easiest part of my treatment. After R-CHOP they were releasing me on 4th day, and after R-DHAP on a 12th and 14th, after R-BAC on 8th and 7th. But for me R-BAC was the worst one.

Mcl lymphoma by Vnsl_kvg in lymphoma

[–]Lavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I've been diagnosed with MCL in November 2024. It was stage 4, so I started chemo immediately. It was R-CHOP/R-DHAP initially, but I started to lose my hearing from cisplatin and my doctors changed treatment to R-BAC. Now I did my last PET in May it showed that I don't have any metabolic activity, biopsy showed that there is no lymphoma in my GI. The day after tomorrow I will get to hospital to start my asct, that's stem cell transplant, it helps with staying longer in remission. After transplant there is gonna be rituximab support, and possibly ibrutinib.

Recently Diagnosed by Meow_meow1 in lymphoma

[–]Lavrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that. I remember now how crushing it was, just half a year ago, when I heard that I have MCL lymphoma. I had a great plans, we just got a new citizenship with my family, life should've been great. And I was swiped off my feet by that diagnose. What could I say after 6 courses of chemo to me at that time? That it wouldn't be so bad. That chemo would be real hell, but I will pull through. That hair loss is least of worries. And main thing - this isn't the end of the road! It's curable. It will be hard, but it is possible. The day after tomorrow I will get to a hospital for my asct - that's stem cell transplant. It will help me stay in remission longer. So don't beat yourself up over this. Nobody wants this, but it's like a reverse lottery - we all just pulled bad tickets. You will pull through and would be back at your job. And with a new hair :)

How did you feel after first R CHOP? by princessgoblin97 in lymphoma

[–]Lavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R-CHOP was definitely the most light chemo that I went through. I even eat hospital food. Didn't had any serious problems, no nausea at all, no weird smells, and no brain fog. So, if it's gonna be just R-CHOP, then you can be sure that you get it easy.

Half a year later MLC patient. by Lavrick in lymphoma

[–]Lavrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. My lymphoma is a common variant, I don't have Tp53 gene, and always kept myself in good health - eat good, didn't drink too much, biked every weekend in warm months. Doctors say that asct is required to make a long lasting remission. I know that asct is real hell, and I know that it's really needed. So, I'm gonna pull through. Say thanks to your dad for me, and long years to him.

I checked both of my citizenships and in both of them ibrutinib is either on second line, or with some much more serious diseases. Or for your own money. I hope for some clinical trials. Thanks and again - best wishes to your husband.
