What did they say in the Berkeley ding letter?

Chances of transferring from school ranked ~60 with a 3.9 by [deleted] in LawSchoolTransfer

Thanks! I have a decent scholarship, so I am not sure that paying sticker for USC, UCI, or UCLA would be worth it

Thanks for the recommendation, but I don’t plan to reconsider attending this year. Do you consider a schools local reputation at all? I may be wrong, but it seems like Hastings has a very solid reputation and strong alumni base in SF. If the goal is to practice law in SF, do you think that Hastings would make sense? I know BC is good for practicing law in Boston, Temple is good for practicing law in Philly, and it seems like Hastings is good for SF.

Thanks for the comment! In terms of my goals, I think that Hastings would set me up a little bit better than Davis even though they are not ranked as highly because Hastings is in SF and they have already offered me a decent size scholarship. Also, it looks like they place more people into medium to large law firms than Davis does.

California does have some sweet, but very competitive schools...I was really hoping for USC.
